D.A.V. Centenary College Participates in Faridabad Half Marathon
More than five hundred students and faculty members join the ‘Drug-Free Haryana’ Half Marathon
Faridabad, 27 September 2026: The Faridabad Half Marathon for Drug-Free Haryana, organised by the District Administration, Faridabad, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of D.A.V. Centenary College, Faridabad. The event featured 21 km, 10 km and 5 km runs.
The event was graced by Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, as the Chief Guest. Shri Shikhar Dhawan, renowned sportsperson and former Indian cricketer, encouraged the participants during the event. Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, and Shri Vipul Goel, along with other distinguished public representatives, were also present.
Students, faculty members, NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and YRC Volunteers participated enthusiastically, reflecting the institution’s commitment to fitness, discipline, youth development and social responsibility.
The participation was organised under the guidance of Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, D.A.V. DAV Centenary College, Faridabad Celebrates World Tourism Day 2026

Faridabad, September 26, 2026:
DAV Centenary College, Faridabad celebrated World Tourism Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation by the students and faculty members of the BTTM Department. The programme was organised on the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.”

The celebration highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, digital technology and innovation in the tourism industry. All students studying Tourism actively participated in the event and showcased their creativity and talent through AI-generated travel posters, tourism promotional reels, presentations, cultural performances and state-wise tourism representations.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Ms. Seema Trikha, Former Minister of State for Education, Haryana; Dr. Sandeep Lohani, Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Faridabad; Dr. Rocky Kalra, CEO, Lalit Suri Hospitality School, Faridabad; Dr. Vijaywanti, Retired Offg. Principal, DAV College, Faridabad; Mr. Lalit Bhadana, Advocate; Mr. Deepak Baisla, Social Worker; Mr. Rakesh Khatana; and Mr. Satender Chandila.

Dr. Narender Kumar, Offg. Principal, extended his support and encouragement for the successful organisation of the programme. Dr. Steffi Phogat, HOD, BTTM and Convener, along with Mr. Amit Kumar, Convener, coordinated the event with the organising team.

The active involvement of all Tourism students made the celebration vibrant and meaningful. The event provided students with a valuable platform to demonstrate their creativity, teamwork, communication skills, technological knowledge and understanding of emerging trends in tourism.

The programme concluded with appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the faculty members, organising secretaries and all Tourism students who contributed to the successful celebration of World Tourism Day 2026.

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad Organises PG Orientation and Alumnus Mentorship Programme
DAV Centenary College, Faridabad organised a PG Orientation and Alumnus Mentorship Programme on 26 September 2026 under the aegis of the IQAC. The programme was organised by the PG Departments of M.Com, M.Sc. (CS) and M.A.(English) with the objective of orienting students and providing them with meaningful guidance through alumnus interaction and mentorship. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal.
The programme was graced by Mr. Manjeet Mukal, Assistant Executive Officer (AEO), Lok Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India, New Delhi, as the Chief Guest and distinguished alumnus of the college. The programme was anchored by Shachi and Harsh*ta, who conducted the proceedings with confidence and enthusiasm.The programme began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest. The Heads of all the PG departments introduced Mr. Manjeet Mukal and briefly highlighted his academic association with the institution as an alumnus of DAV Centenary College. His professional journey and achievements served as an inspiring example for the students. The programme was also graced by the presence of Dr. Ruchi Malhotra, Senior Faculty Member, whose presence added to the significance of the occasion.
Addressing the students, Mr. Manjeet Mukal spoke about the various job and career opportunities available to young graduates and postgraduates. He encouraged the students to remain aware of diverse career avenues, develop relevant skills and make informed choices about their professional future. His interaction provided students with valuable insights into the world of employment and professional growth. Dr. Imrana Khan served as the Convener. The programme was supported by the Heads of the respective postgraduate departments—Dr. Bindu Roy, HOD, M.Com; Dr. Rashmi Raturi, HOD, M.Sc. (CS); and Dr. Priyanka Angiras, HOD, M.A. English. The orientation also provided an opportunity for students to interact with an accomplished alumnus and understand the importance of mentorship, skill development and career planning. The alumni interaction bridged the gap between academic learning and professional experience and motivated students to explore diverse possibilities beyond their immediate academic programmes.
The programme concluded on a positive and inspiring note. It has encouraged students to achieve success with greater clarity and confidence.

डीएवी सेंटेनरी कॉलेज में बीसीए (एसएफएस) प्रथम वर्ष के विद्यार्थियों के लिए हवन एवं ध्यान सत्र का आयोजन
फरीदाबाद, 26 सितंबर 2026:
डीएवी सेंटेनरी कॉलेज, फरीदाबाद में हवन समिति के तत्वावधान में चल रही दैनिक हवन श्रृंखला के अंतर्गत आज प्रातः 8:00 से 9:00 बजे तक बीसीए विभाग (SFS) के प्रथम वर्ष (सेक्शन I E) के विद्यार्थियों के लिए हवन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस पहल का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का संचार करना तथा उन्हें भारतीय संस्कृति एवं नैतिक मूल्यों से गहराई से जोड़ना है।
इस पावन अवसर पर शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग के सहायक प्राध्यापक श्री राकेश जी ने पूरे विधि-विधान और वैदिक मंत्रोच्चारण के साथ हवन संपन्न कराया। उनके साथ शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग के ही सहायक प्राध्यापक श्री योगेश कुमार जी ने भी उपस्थित रहकर विद्यार्थियों का मार्गदर्शन किया। इस दौरान कक्षा की निर्धारित प्राध्यापिका (Assigned Faculty) सुश्री रविंदर कौर की देखरेख में विद्यार्थियों और श्री नीरज मलिक, श्री पद्म सिंह, श्री रविन्द्र, श्री अजय, सुश्री रितू ने पूर्ण श्रद्धा के साथ हवन कुंड में आहुतियां दीं।
हवन के पश्चात विद्यार्थियों के लिए एक ध्यान (Meditation) सत्र का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों को मन की एकाग्रता बढ़ाने, तनाव दूर करने और आंतरिक शांति प्राप्त करने के सरल उपाय बताए गए।
कॉलेज के कार्यकारी प्राचार्य डॉ. नरेंद्र कुमार, हवन समिति की संयोजक डॉ. अर्चना सिंघल एवं बीसीए विभाग की विभागाध्यक्ष सुश्री राजविंदर कौर के कुशल निर्देशन में यह दैनिक कार्यक्रम सुचारू रूप से संचालित किया जा रहा है। कार्यकारी प्राचार्य डॉ. नरेंद्र कुमार का मानना है कि दिन की शुरुआत ऐसे पवित्र व आध्यात्मिक कार्य से करने से पूरे महाविद्यालय परिसर में एक सकारात्मक और अनुशासित वातावरण का निर्माण होता है।

Generative AI Ready Naari Sill-Oriented Course

The ‘Seventh day of GenAI Ready Naari’ Skill-Oriented Course at DAV Centenary College Faridabad, 24th September 2026:

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, in collaboration with Nimaya Foundation and under the CSR initiative of Escorts Kubota Limited, Faridabad, commenced the second edition of the ‘GenAI Ready Naari’ Skill-Oriented Course to empower girl students with practical AI skills and future-ready competencies.

The seventh session, themed “peeling the onion with AI” witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 60 girls students representing different departments. Trainer Ms. Shivani Gupta, Communication Excellence and life skills trainer, Faculty Development specialist .

The session focused on using AI for peeling the layers to figure out the problems. Before reaching to any data, its usefulness and impact. A very good example from our daily life of peeling the Onion to reach for a proposal to reach it’s clients, and fix their demands. We should make a decision by checking all its contents and background. A 4-layer framework is discussed with examples to reach to a conclusion. The session includes how to turn layers into our own conclusions. Assumptions, Agenda, proposal all help to write the conclusions of our own.

A total of 120 students registered for the course, which will be conducted in hybrid mode. Dr. Bindu Roy, POC of the GenAI Value Added cm Skill-Oriented Course and Co-convener, NEP Committee, coordinated the programme under the guidance of Dr. Narendra Kumar, Officiating Principal and Dr. Archana Singhal, Convenor, NEP Committee, with the support of Dr. Nisha Agnihotri and Ms. Anushka, Assistant Project Manager, Nimaya Foundation.

The session concluded that stop when we find the answer or keep going to have a satisfactory outcome.

NSS Day Celebrated at DAV Centenary College with “Seva Mera Yogdan” Activities

NSS Day under the service initiative “Seva Mera Yogdan.” On this occasion, various service oriented activities were organized by the NSS Boys’ and Girls’ Units.

During the programme, NSS volunteers took care of the plants outside the college premises and watered them. Ms. Kavita Sharma, PO, NSS Girls’ Unit, remained present with the volunteers and guided them during the activity. A “Swachhata Hi Seva” activity was also conducted at Chimni Bai, where volunteers participated in cleanliness and sanitation activities.

An awareness rally on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat” was also organized from DAV Centenary College to Rahul Colony, NIT-3. Through awareness messages, the volunteers encouraged people to stay away from substance abuse and contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free society.

The Officiating Principal, Dr. Narender Kumar, appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers and encouraged them to actively participate in social service activities. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness, environmental protection, and social awareness.

Dr. Jitender Dhull, PO, NSS Boys’ Unit, and Ms. Kavita Sharma, PO, NSS Girls’ Unit, guided and encouraged the volunteers throughout the programme. They appreciated the active participation of the volunteers and motivated them to continue working for the welfare of society.

A total of 100 NSS volunteers actively participated in the various activities organized on the occasion of NSS Day.

डी.ए.वी. सेंटेनरी कॉलेज, फरीदाबाद की छात्राओं ने अंतर महाविद्यालय शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में लिया भाग

फरीदाबाद, सितंबर 2026:
डी.ए.वी. सेंटेनरी कॉलेज, फरीदाबाद की चार छात्राओं लक्ष्मी, दिव्या, सगुन नारायण एवं रुचिका ने खेल विभाग के तत्वावधान में आयोजित अंतर महाविद्यालय शतरंज प्रतियोगिता (महिला) 2026-27 में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। यह प्रतियोगिता सी.आर. कॉलेज ऑफ एजुकेशन, रोहतक में आयोजित की गई।

कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने प्रतियोगिता में पूरे उत्साह, अनुशासन एवं खेल भावना के साथ प्रतिभागिता की। इस प्रतियोगिता ने छात्राओं को अपनी शतरंज प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन करने के साथ-साथ अंतर महाविद्यालय स्तर पर प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक अनुभव प्राप्त करने का अवसर प्रदान किया।

छात्राओं के साथ श्री राकेश, सहायक प्रोफेसर, शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग एवं सुश्री संचिता, विज्ञान विभाग उपस्थित रहे। दोनों ने प्रतियोगिता के दौरान छात्राओं का मार्गदर्शन एवं उत्साहवर्धन किया।

कॉलेज के प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. नरेंद्र कुमार ने छात्राओं की सहभागिता की सराहना करते हुए उन्हें खेलों में निरंतर भाग लेने तथा अपनी प्रतिभा को निखारने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि खेल विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं और विद्यार्थियों को ऐसे अवसरों का अधिक से अधिक लाभ उठाना चाहिए।
