Internship Completion & MoU Signing with Mizra Consultancy

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad is pleased to share the successful completion of the internship programme undertaken by our students at Mizra Consultancy along with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen industry–academia collaboration.

The internship provided our students with valuable practical exposure, professional learning, and industry-oriented experience enabling them to connect classroom learning with real-world corporate practices.

We sincerely acknowledge the guidance and support of Sh. Narender Kumar, Principal, DAV Centenary College, Faridabad and extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Yogesh Talwar, Director, Mizra Consultancy for providing our students with this valuable opportunity and for collaborating with the institution through the MoU.

The Youth Red Cross (YRC), DAV Centenary College, Faridabad organised a Screening Test and Interview today from 12:00 PM onwards in the IQAC Room for shortlisting YRC Volunteers for the session 2026–27.

The selection process witnessed an enthusiastic response, with more than 50 students from various programmes of the college participating in the screening and interview process.

The initiative aimed to identify dedicated and socially responsible students who demonstrate leadership, teamwork, empathy and a commitment to community service. The active participation of students reflected their enthusiasm to contribute to YRC activities and social awareness initiatives.

The YRC looks forward to building a committed team of young volunteers who will actively contribute towards meaningful community service and awareness programmes.

The Department of Business Administration organised an energetic and engaging Zumba Fitness Session for the BBA 1st Year students as part of the Three-Week Student Induction Programme. The session was planned with the aim of encouraging students to focus on physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle right from the beginning of their college journey.

The session was conducted by Mr. Yugal, International Zumba Trainer and an alumnus of the Department of Business Administration. He guided the students through a series of stretching, fitness, and Zumba-based exercises. His lively and interactive approach kept the students actively involved throughout the session and encouraged them to make regular physical activity a part of their daily routine. Around 100 students participated enthusiastically in the session.

Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, addressed the students and highlighted the close connection between physical and mental well-being and academic success. He encouraged the students to develop healthy habits and make fitness an integral part of their lifestyle.

Ms. Omita Johar, HOD, Department of Business Administration, also interacted with the students and emphasised the importance of health, wellness, regular exercise, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She encouraged the students to approach fitness positively and develop habits that would contribute to their overall well-being and personality development.

The session was coordinated under the guidance of Event Conveners Ms. Rita Rani and Mr. Gautam. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the programme lively, interactive, and enjoyable.

The Zumba session successfully created awareness among the newly admitted students about the importance of fitness, wellness, and healthy living. It provided them with an enjoyable platform to stay active while reinforcing the message that good health is an essential part of holistic development and a fulfilling student life.

Orientation Programme for B.A. First Year Students

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, organized an Orientation Programme for B.A. First Year students on 21st August 2026 in the Auditorium Hall from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

The programme was organized to welcome the newly admitted students and familiarize them with the college environment, academic structure, curriculum, examination pattern, attendance requirements, and various facilities available in the college.

The students were also briefed about the NEP-based curriculum, different courses, internal assessment, and other important academic guidelines. Dr. Narendra Kumar, Principal of the college, interacted with the students and extended his blessings and best wishes for their successful academic journey.

The programme helped the students gain a clear understanding of their academic journey and the opportunities available to them. The Orientation Programme was successfully organized with the cooperation of the faculty members and received a positive response from the students.

The Department of Business Administration organised a Tree Plantation Drive as part of the Three-Week Student Induction Programme for BBA 1st Year students, in accordance with AICTE guidelines.

The activity focused on creating awareness about environmental conservation and sustainability. A total of 20 students actively participated and planted saplings on the college campus.

Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, encouraged students to plant trees and take responsibility for their regular care. Ms. Omita Johar, HOD, Department of Business Administration, highlighted the importance of “Go Green” initiatives and adopting eco-friendly practices in daily life.

The drive was coordinated by Ms. Rita Rani and Mr. Gautam, who guided the students throughout the activity.

The initiative provided students with a meaningful hands-on experience while promoting teamwork, environmental responsibility and social commitment. The activity concluded with the message: “Plant, Protect and Preserve.”

DAV Centenary College NSS & NCC Organise an Extension Lecture on “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign

DAV Centenary College, Faridabad organised an Extension Lecture on “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. The programme was organised by the NSS (Boys & Girls Units) and NCC (Boys & Girls Units). The objective was to spread awareness about the painful memories of Partition and the importance of patriotism, national unity and peace.

Ms. Neelam Kohli, Social Science Teacher, Bansi Vidya Niketan School, Faridabad, shared valuable information about the history of Partition and its impact. She inspired the students to remember the struggles and hardships faced by people during that period.

The Officiating Principal, Dr. Narender Kumar, appreciated the active participation of the students. His continuous encouragement and inspiring guidance motivated the students to participate enthusiastically in activities related to patriotism and national unity.

The results of the Online Poster Making Competition were also announced. Khushi secured First Position, Tanu secured Second Position, and Anshu secured Third Position.

A total of 55 students participated in the programme. The programme was successfully organised under the guidance of Dr. Jitender Dhull, P.O. NSS & CTO (Boys Unit); Ms. Kavita Sharma, P.O. NSS (Girls Unit); and Dr. Rashmi Raturi, CTO (Girls Unit).

*Hawan Yojna and Extension Lecture on Digital Literacy*

The Department of Business Administration organised a Hawan Yagya for BBA 1st Year students as part of the Three-Week Student Induction Programme, in accordance with AICTE guidelines. The Hawan aimed to familiarise students with Vedic culture, Indian traditions, values and spirituality while promoting discipline, positivity and cultural awareness. 89 students participated enthusiastically.

Ms. Meenakshi Kaushik, Yagyaacharya, conducted the Hawan and highlighted its significance. Dr. Narendra Kumar, Officiating Principal, and Ms. Omita Johar, HOD, addressed the students and emphasised the importance of values, culture, spirituality and responsible citizenship.

An Extension Lecture on Digital Literacy was subsequently organised, focusing on digital literacy, responsible use of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Ms. Meenakshi Kaushik, Resource Person, delivered an informative PPT-based session. Dr. Narendra Kumar and Ms. Omita Johar highlighted the importance of developing digital competencies and using AI ethically and responsibly for learning and academic productivity.

A total of 123 students participated in the lecture. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rita Rani and Mr. Gautam. The activities successfully integrated Indian cultural values with contemporary digital awareness, providing students with a meaningful and holistic induction experience.

ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था एवं डीएवी शताब्दी महाविद्यालय के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में विद्यार्थियों को नशे के दुष्प्रभावों के प्रति जागरूक करने तथा नशामुक्त समाज के निर्माण का संकल्प दिलाने के उद्देश्य से नशा मुक्त शपथ ग्रहण समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. नरेंद्र कुमार के निर्देशन में किया गया।
समारोह में विद्यार्थियों ने नशे से दूर रहने, स्वयं नशे का सेवन न करने तथा अपने परिवार एवं समाज के अन्य लोगों को भी नशे के विरुद्ध जागरूक करने की शपथ ली। इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए नशे को व्यक्तिगत स्वास्थ्य के साथ-साथ परिवार और समाज के लिए भी गंभीर चुनौती बताया गया। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि युवाओं की ऊर्जा और प्रतिभा को सकारात्मक दिशा देकर ही स्वस्थ, सशक्त एवं नशामुक्त समाज का निर्माण किया जा सकता है।

ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था के प्रतिनिधियों ने विद्यार्थियों को नशे से होने वाले शारीरिक, मानसिक, आर्थिक एवं सामाजिक नुकसान के बारे में जानकारी दी तथा स्वस्थ जीवनशैली अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि नशामुक्ति केवल व्यक्तिगत प्रयास नहीं, बल्कि सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी है।

कार्यक्रम में बॉयज यूनिट के संयोजक डॉ. योगेश तथा गर्ल्स यूनिट की संयोजक डॉ. सारिका ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। टीम सदस्यों में सुश्री रेनुका एवं डॉ. निशा सहित अन्य सदस्य उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. जितेंद्र ढुल की भी गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही। महाविद्यालय प्रशासन ने ब्रह्माकुमारी संस्था के सहयोग के लिए आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि भविष्य में भी विद्यार्थियों के हित में इस प्रकार के जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते रहेंगे।

The Department of Business Administration, in association with the Placement and Internship Cell, organised a Placement and Internship Orientation Session for the first-year BBA students on 19 August 2026 as part of Week 1 – Orientation and Foundation Week of the Three-Week Student Induction Programme. The programme was conducted in accordance with the norms and guidelines laid down by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The primary objective of the session was to familiarise newly admitted students with the placement process, internship opportunities, career planning, employability skills, industry expectations, and the significance of internships in enhancing professional development. The session also aimed to motivate students to start developing the skills and competencies required for successful careers from the beginning of their undergraduate journey.

A total of 200 first year students participated in the session.

Mr. Yogesh Talwar, Director, Mizra Consultancy, and an alumnus of the institution, addressed the students and shared valuable insights and guidance regarding career opportunities, professional growth, and industry expectations. His interaction with the students provided them with practical perspectives and useful guidance for their future academic and professional journeys.

Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, addressed the students and shared his valuable guidance and words of wisdom. He emphasised the importance of skill development, continuous learning, and professional preparedness to enhance students’ employability and help them successfully meet the evolving expectations of the industry.

Ms. Twinkle, Training and Placement Officer (TPO), delivered an informative presentation highlighting the functioning of the College Placement Cell, its various activities, placement procedures, and the opportunities available to students.

Mr. Gautam, Assistant Training and Placement Officer (Assistant TPO), further emphasised the role of the Placement and Internship Cell in bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial exposure.

Ms. Omita Johar, Head, Department of Business Administration, encouraged the students to remain proactive, continuously enhance their skills, and utilise the facilities, resources, and guidance provided by the Placement and Internship Cell for their academic and professional growth.

The session was interactive, informative, and engaging. The students actively participated in the session and showed keen interest in understanding the placement and internship opportunities available to them.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rita Rani, Ms. Twinkle, and Mr. Gautam, who served as the Conveners of the programme.
