Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan (VBUSS) is organizing a national-level examination titled “Bharat Bauddhik” on Indian Knowledge Systems across the country to promote the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems in higher education. The objective of this examination is to provide students with an opportunity to engage meaningfully with India’s civilizational knowledge traditions and their contemporary applications in modern higher education.
The Bharat BauddhIKS Examination 2026 is being conducted by Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan (VBUSS), with the University of Delhi as the official partner.
Please read the important information given below carefully and act accordingly.
Eligibility
• Only UG and PG students are eligible.
• Selection of only one subject is mandatory:
o Science
o Social Sciences
o Arts
Important dates
• Last date for registration: 10 January 2026
(Only through your institution)
• E-admit card issue date: 15 January 2026
• Date of examination:
Saturday, 31 January 2026 – 10:00 a.m.
Examination pattern
• Mode: Offline (OMR + written answer booklet)
• Duration: 2 hours
Part I (MCQs):
• Total 80 questions
• 60 (chosen subject) + 20 (other two subjects)
Part II (Descriptive):
• 1 question × 20 marks
• Approximately 250 words
Syllabus
• Only 7 books of your chosen subject are to be studied.
• Study from the Bharat BauddhIKS book series or from the material available at **www.bharatboudhiks.com**.
Registration fee
• ₹100 per student(non-refundable)
Exam day instructions
• Reach the examination centre 45 minutes before the start time.
• Admit card and valid ID card are mandatory.
• Bring only a blue/black pen.
• Mobile phones, calculators or notes are strictly prohibited.
Certificates and awards
• First prize: ₹1,00,000
• Two second prizes: ₹50,000 each
• Four third prizes: ₹25,000 each
• 200 consolation prizes: ₹2,500 each
• Participation certificate (with AIR) to all.
• Merit certificates to the top 10% of students.
