🎪📊 Marketing Carnival 2025 – Experiential Learning in Action! 📊🎪

The Department of Commerce successfully organized the Marketing Carnival on 18 December 2025, creating a vibrant platform for experiential learning, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and real-time customer interaction.

The programme was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Shri Sharanbasappa Gudimani, President of the Chamber of Commerce, along with office bearers, who appreciated the students’ innovative ideas, marketing strategies, product presentation, and confidence.

The event was further graced by the esteemed management of Adarsha Shikshana Samiti — Chairman CA Shri A. L. Potnis, President Shri K. V. Kushtagi, Vice President Shri P. R. Adavi, and Honourable Secretary Shri A. D. Godkhindi, whose interaction with all 13 stalls greatly motivated the participants.

Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. V. T. Naikar and the dedicated guidance of IQAC Coordinator & HOD Dr. S. D. Bhandarkar, Shri S. B. Jadhav, Smt. Salma Belgaum event Incharge, Shri Feroz MuradKhan, and Miss Sunita. the event was a grand success. The stalls were evaluated by an expert panel of judges, who appreciated the creativity, professionalism, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by the students.

The Marketing Carnival truly reflected learning beyond classrooms, leaving a lasting impact on students, faculty, parents, and stakeholders

⚖️ Awareness Programme on POSH Act ⚖️

The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell of Adarsha Shikshana Samiti’s Shri V. R. Kustagi Memorial College of Commerce organized an awareness programme on the POSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace) on 17 December 2025.

The session was led by Advocate Shri Channabasaveshwar Rachannavar, Gadag, who explained the scope, applicability, complaint mechanism, Internal Committee, employer responsibilities, and penalties under the POSH Act in a detailed and practical manner.

The programme was graced by Principal Dr. V. T. Naikar, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Savita Bhandarkar, and Secretary Shri A. D. Godkhindi, who emphasized the importance of awareness, safety, and compliance at the workplace.

Students actively participated and gained valuable insights into legal provisions ensuring a safe and respectful work environment.

A Gadag District-Level Yuvajanotsava was organized at the Suvarna Mahotsava Bhavan through the joint collaboration of Karnataka University, Dharwad and Shri V. R. Kustagi Memorial College of Commerce.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri K. V. Kustagi, President of the Institution, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The event was presided over by Chairman Shri Anand L. Potnis.

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. S. K. Pawar, Director, Student Welfare Department, Karnataka University, Dharwad, as the Special Guest.
Also present were Vice President Shri P. R. Adavi, Secretary Shri A. D. Godkhindi, and Principals of affiliated institutions.

A special guest lecture on “Goods and Services Tax (GST): Concepts and Latest Updates” was organised on 11th December 2025 for B.Com 5th Semester students at Adarsha Shikshana Samiti’s College of Commerce, Gadag.

The session was delivered by CA Kiran Shyavi, Partner, Hombal & Associates, Hubli, who explained key GST concepts—Supply, Place & Time of Supply, ITC, Mixed & Composite Supply, and recent amendments—with clear, practical examples. Students actively participated and gained valuable insights into GST and its real-world applications.

📈 Guest Lecture on Indian Stock Market – PG Commerce

Shri D. M. Bagmar Memorial PG Course in Commerce organized an Awareness Programme on Indian Stock Market with special reference to Security Analysis and Portfolio Management on 2nd December 2025 at S J Hall.

The programme began with a welcome address by Smt. Vani Patri, who also introduced the resource person, Shri Mansur A. M. Principal Dr. V. T. Naikar highlighted the importance of stock market knowledge for commerce students.

In the technical session, Shri Mansur A. M. explained the structure of the Indian stock market, fundamentals of security analysis, risk-return concepts, and portfolio management strategies. The session enriched students with practical market understanding.

A special hands-on activity was arranged where DEMAT accounts were created for interested students—an excellent initiative to promote financial literacy.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Smt. Pavitra Angadi.

🎗️ AIDS Awareness Programme Organized on World AIDS Day

The Red Cross & Health Care Unit of our college, under IQAC and in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Gadag, organized an AIDS Awareness Programme on campus.

The event began with the symbolic watering of the plant.
Guest speaker Dr. Niyaz Ahmed Kanavi delivered a detailed and scientific session on HIV/AIDS—covering transmission, symptoms, prevention, myths, and treatment options like ART. His insights helped students understand the issue clearly and responsibly.

Secretary Shri A. D. Godkhindi highlighted the importance of such initiatives, and Principal Dr. V. T. Naikar appreciated the efforts of the Red Cross Unit in spreading health awareness.

Special thanks to Mr. Akshilesh Goudar for the Vote of Thanks and Miss Soujanya T. for compering.
The programme successfully strengthened awareness about HIV/AIDS among students.
