He delivered a thought-provoking talk on “Ecology, Variation and Clinical Presentations of the Big Four Venom,” offering valuable insights into this critical area of study.
The session offered a deep dive into the ecology and clinical significance of India’s “Big Four” venomous snakes, leaving attendees with valuable knowledge and real-world perspectives.

He delivered his lecture entitled "Pluripotent Stem Cells as a Platform for Studying Livestock Biology" at GBU auditorium on April 6, 2026. During his lecture, Dr. Burdon shared his expertise on the regulation of growth and differentiation of embryo-derived stem cells, highlighting how pluripotent stem cells can serve as powerful tools to advance our understanding of livestock biology. His lecture provided valuable insights into cutting-edge stem cell research and its applications in animal science and biotechnology.

In the cutting-edge Expert Lecture Series, we are honoured to have Professor Alok Krishna Sinha from BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi. He delivered a talk on “MAPKs in Action: Orchestrating Plant Growth and Adaptation” on 06/04/2026.
Students and faculty members were immensely benefited by his lucid teaching and vast research experience. The fundamental learning from his presentation taught the experimental designs and deep scientific exploration on MAPK pathway in model (Arabidopsis) and crop (Rice) plants.

Through this cutting-edge expert lecture series, GBU looks forward to continuing inviting eminent Life science and Biotechnology scientists and providing first hand exposure to Masters, PhD students and Research Fellows.

Gujarat Biotechnology University, in collaboration with CLLO, Gujarat University, and partners INSA-INYAS & Knowledge Steez Edu Hub, successfully organised an International Conference on AI, Cyber Security & Biotechnology on March 28, 2026. Engaging technical sessions, presentations, and discussions made the conference a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary learning and collaboration. The inaugural session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Prachi Motiyani, Convenor of the Conference and insightful addresses by distinguished dignitaries Prof. (Dr.) Subeer S. Majumdar, Director General, Gujarat Biotechnology University, highlighting the role of AI, biotechnology, and legal frameworks in shaping the future. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) S. Shanta Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GNLU. The conference witnessed the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Jeetendra C. Lilani, Registrar, Gujarat Biotechnology University; Prof. Dr. Petra Bauer, Director and Head of Botany, HHU Düsseldorf, Germany; Prof. Dr. Sanjib Kumar Panda, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Central University of Rajasthan.
