Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled “Stereochemically Engineered Peptide Vectors for Targeted Delivery of Cytoskeleton Modulating Drugs in Ovarian Cancer” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). It was a delight to host Prof. Vaibhav A. Mantri, Chief Scientist (Scientist G) and Divisional Chair (Head) of the Applied Phycology and Biotechnology Division at CSIR–Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR–CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.
Prof. Mantri delivered an insightful lecture on "Cultivation of Edible Seaweeds for Potential Applications in Nutraceuticals for Boosting the Bio-Economy in India." He highlighted the outstanding research and technological advancements made by CSIR–CSMCRI in seaweed cultivation, emphasizing the immense potential of edible seaweeds as sustainable nutraceutical resources and their significant role in strengthening India's blue bioeconomy.
The lecture provided valuable insights into the opportunities and future prospects of marine biotechnology, inspiring students and researchers to explore innovative applications of marine bioresources.

Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), under the aegis of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat , proudly participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Central Gujarat Region held in Vadodara on 29–30 June.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with five industry partners- Quantumzyme LLP, ASAAR Health LLP, IOTA Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd., Prompt Innovations Pvt. Ltd. and Enviraxyme LLP in the august presence of Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia and Smt. P. Bharathi, IAS-Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. These partnerships reaffirm GBU’s commitment to strengthening industry-academia collaboration, fostering innovation, and advancing Gujarat’s biotechnology ecosystem.

The collaborations will pave the way for enhanced research opportunities, skill development, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the growth of a vibrant and knowledge-driven bioeconomy.
