"Making mental health a priority, one step at a time"

The Psychosocial Care Centre at Rashtriya Raksha University has made an effort to reach out to needy people from rural backgrounds. In collaboration with Gandhighar, Kachholi, and Navsaari, the School of Criminology and Behavioural Sciences at RRU conducted a psychological service camp between October 17 to 21, 2023, as part of World Mental Health Week 2023. During the camp, twelve M.Phil. Clinical Psychology 2nd year trainees, under the supervision of Ms. Shamli Themse (Assistant Professor, CP) and mentoring from Dr. Jitendra Nanawala (Consultant Senior Psychiatrist), provided services to 57 individuals (21 female and 36 male). These services included psychological screenings, diagnostic assessments, and interventions. Counselling and referral services were also offered to those in need.
