Choosing a university is not just about the degree your child earns. It’s about the kind of future that degree prepares them for.

For parents evaluating an international education experience in India, the right questions go beyond rankings and course names. Look at the quality of the curriculum, how practical the learning is, the career support available, the credibility of the degree, and the opportunities it can open up after graduation.

At the University of Wollongong, India, students get the advantage of a globally recognised university experience while building their future closer to home.

Because the right choice should give students confidence to move forward and parents confidence in where they’re headed.

Applied learning is not about knowing the right answer. It is about knowing what to do when the answer is not obvious.

You begin with a real problem.
You question assumptions.
You test ideas with data.
You explain the thinking behind your decisions.
Then you defend, improve and build again.

That process changes learning from something you simply remember into something you can actually use.
Because in the real world, capability is not measured by how much you know. It is measured by how well you can apply what you know.

At UOW India, learning goes beyond the classroom by creating opportunities to think, test, collaborate and solve.

The goal is not just to prepare students for an exam. It is to prepare them for the decisions that come after it.

UOW India was pleased to attend the NSW Government reception at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, held in honour of the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon. Chris Minns MP, and the NSW Treasurer, The Hon. Daniel Mookhey MLC.

A special moment for us was seeing UOW India student Nitin Sharma receive a UOW India scholarship from the Premier.

The evening also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with members of the Australia–India community and strengthen relationships across education, government and industry.

Thank you, Suchita Gokarn and Malini Dutt from the NSW team in India for facilitating this wonderful evening.

Events like these highlight the growing ties between Australia and India, and the important role education continues to play in building meaningful connections and new opportunities.

The transition from student to professional is built long before the first day at work.

It takes shape through the way you think, collaborate, solve problems and apply what you learn to real situations.

At the University of Wollongong in India, learning is designed to help you build that professional mindset from day one.

Because graduation may mark the milestone.

But preparation starts much earlier.
