Dear all!

The Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organisation headquartered in New Delhi, with offices in London, United Kingdom, and Accra, Ghana. Since 1987, it has worked for the practical realization of human rights through strategic advocacy and engagement as well as mobilization around these issues in Commonwealth countries.

The MoU would allow both Gujarat National Law University and CHRI to collaborate on research and training activities in the future. The MOU aims to establish a framework for institutional collaboration and cooperation between the two participating institutions in order to promote academic learning, training research, field work, workshops and further explore possibilities of students’ engagement in internship programs. We are happy to partner with CHRI and look forward to the collaboration!

Dear all!

The GNLU centre for law and society wishes everyone a happy world mental health day.

Every 10th of October since the year 1992 has been celebrated by the WHO as the World Mental Health Day. It's a day marked by millions of supporters taking part in wellness programs, and spreading awareness on major issues surrounding mental health.

The theme for this year's Mental Health Day is 'increased investment in mental health' . The issues is relevant particularly due to the adverse impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had in the past 8 months of lockdown.

Keeping this in mind, our students have prepared some points on the importance of mental well-being, especially in these testing times. Happy reading!
