It has been promoted with

the initiative of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC) a Gujarat government undertaking, which is a leader in the energy sector.

Guest Lecture was organised by School of Petroleum Technology - PDEU on "HUGE POSSIBILITIES FOR INDIA IN HYDRATE BASED ENERGY RESEARCH" by Dr. Pushpendra Kumar on 22nd Feb, 2022. Dr Kumar played crucial role in gas hydrate exploration activities and research. He has headed the team of researchers at ONGC and worked closely with USGS in NGHP (Indian National Gas Hydrate Program).

He interacted with SPT students and faculty and also extended his support on Gas Hydrate research at PDEU. SPT has received a project grant from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, (DST) recently. The project is led by Dr Pawan Gupta for conducting research which will open opportunities for the students to confront with the practical challenges in gas hydrates exploitation.

School of Petroleum Technology, Gandhinagar, Pandit Deendayal Energy University & Office of International Relations, PDEU, have organized an international webinar series for the Branch of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Tashkent (National Research University) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan during 20-24 Sep, 2021.

More than 100 students & faculty members from the partner university shall be participating in this webinar series and faculty members & industry experts from SPT shall be teaching them the knitty gritty of the Oil & Gas industry.
