A proud academic milestone for the Department of Anesthesia and Operation Theater Technology, School of Health Sciences and Technology (SoHST), as our final-year students Ms. Nita Manger and Ms. Niruta Gurung successfully published their research paper, “Effectiveness of Opioid-Free Anesthesia Protocols on Postoperative Pain and Recovery: A Systematic Review,” in the Scopus-indexed Elsevier journal, Perioperative Care and Operating Room Management.

Guided by Mr. Ravi Yadav, PIC & Assistant Professor, this achievement reflects our commitment to nurturing research, critical thinking, and evidence-based healthcare practices among our students.

Sometimes, the road home leads you somewhere you never expected to go.

For Nishant Poudyali, it began with a glimpse of Medhavi Skills University he happened to notice on his way back to home.

He looked it up. He discovered a different way of learning- one that brought together a degree, real work experience and the opportunity to earn while learning. And he chose to take the road less travelled.

Three years later, the young boy who walked into a professional kitchen at Crowne Plaza Greater Noida, with no experience is now Chef Nishant- confident at his station, experienced in the rhythm of a working kitchen, and independent enough to build his own life.

There were doubts along the way. Why three years when shorter courses existed? Why choose an unfamiliar path? Even his parents wondered if the decision would work out.

But Nishant stayed the course.

His first stipend gave him more than money. It gave him the quiet confidence of being able to take care of his own needs. His years in the kitchen gave him more than experience. They gave him a profession.

Nishant’s story is a reminder that sometimes, all it takes is one unexpected moment- and the courage to follow where it leads.
