Tech Adrishta 2026 | Day 2 ⚡🚀

Day 2 of Tech Adrishta, held on 12th September 2026, was filled with technical challenges, competitions, gaming, and innovation across the SMIT campus. 💻⚙️

The day featured:

🤖 AI Escape — AI-based clues and problem-solving.
💻 Algorithm Arena — A test of coding and algorithms.
🖥️ Build Without Internet — Building solutions without internet access.
🚁 Drone Making — Designing and building drones.
🎙️ Tech on Trial — An Oxford-style technology debate.
🔎 Pixel Hunt — Solving clues through observation and teamwork.
💡 6X Innovate — Creating innovative solutions to challenges.
🧊 Forge 3D — Designing virtual 3D models.
🏅 Tech Olympics — Fast-paced technical and team challenges.
🤖 Robo Wars — Robots battling it out in the arena.
🧠 Tech Quiz — Testing technology and science knowledge.
🔐 Crack The Stack — A tech-based treasure hunt.
🤝 AI for Good — Using AI to address real-world problems.
🎨 Product Redesign — Reimagining products through creativity and design.

The Gaming Arena also saw competitions in BGMI, FIFA, MLBB, and Valorant. 🎮🔥

The Departmental Exhibition was inaugurated by Director In-Charge and Joint Director, Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Jha, and Associate Director (Student Affairs), Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Chettri. 🏫✨

They then visited the exhibition and various events across the campus, interacting with participants and taking an interest in their projects and ideas. Their presence and words of encouragement motivated the participants and added to the spirit of the competitions. 🙌⚡

A special highlight of the day was an exclusive stall set up by our Energy Partner, Monster Energy, where they opened 500 complimentary cans for attendees. 🥤⚡🔥

Day 2 brought together technology, creativity, and competition, with one more day of Tech Adrishta 2026 to go.

Freshers 2026 | Beyond Black Tie ✨

Freshers 2026, themed “Beyond Black Tie,” was an evening of elegance, talent, enthusiasm, and new beginnings at SMIT.

The celebration began with the auspicious lighting of the diya, followed by an address by Kasturi Indrani Konwar, General Secretary, Student Council, welcoming the freshers. Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Chettri, Associate Director (Student Affairs) delivered the Welcome Address, followed by Prof. (Dr.) Savitha G. Kini, Director, SMIT, who addressed the august gathering.

The evening continued with the Welcome Dance by Nirvana, followed by the Mr. & Miss Freshers Ramp Walk, followed by a series of individual talent performances, the Freshers Video Presentation, and the exciting Talent Round & Q/A. Nirvana, Udaan, Illusion, and Chromatix welcomed their juniors through vibrant and engaging performances, adding energy to the celebrations.

The highlight of the evening was the crowning of:
👑 Mr. Fresher 2026 — Theten Sherpa
👑 Ms. Fresher 2026 — Anusriya Pradhan
🥈 Mr. Fresher Runner-Up — Arshyan Shaan Ahmed
🥈 Ms. Fresher Runner-Up — Nayuma Rai

The celebrations concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Jay Kumar Gang, Cultural Secretary, Student Council, followed by a special dinner organized for all 1st-year UG and PG students across all departments.

Beyond the glamour, “Beyond Black Tie” celebrated new friendships, confidence, talent, and the beginning of an unforgettable journey at SMIT.

Day 1 | Inaugural Session | Summit Sikkim 10.0

Summit Sikkim 10.0 marks the beginning of its landmark 10th edition with an inspiring Inaugural Session, celebrating a decade of diplomacy, leadership, dialogue, and global engagement in the hills.

The inaugural session was graced by Director, SMIT & Patron, Dr. Savitha G. Kinni, and Associate Director (Student Affairs) & Chief Advisor, Dr. Pankaj Chettri, whose guidance and support continue to strengthen the vision of SMITMUN.

Hosted by SMITMUN, the conference brings together passionate delegates from across the country for meaningful dialogue and debate across premier committees, including the UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council, IMF, WTO, AIPPM, International Press Corps, UN Women, and WTO Online Committee.

Led by Secretary-General Swaroop Bastia and Deputy Secretary-General Palak Agarwal, Day 1 sets the stage for three days of diplomacy, deliberation, and transformative learning.
