I started baking at a very young age and still its in hold. I attended classes of baking in guwahati.
I teach budding bakers who are interested in learning new concepts in this field. I love to create art in my cakes and this is my basic agenda when I teach my pupils and they too learn it accordingly. My speciality is in numerous cake baking and decoration techniques. I even teach how to make home-made veg fondant and cake toppers out that fondant. I have achieved few laurels in baking.

In her words -

My maternal grandmother cooked the most delicious dishes and exotic cakes for us. That would be my childhood. Unknowingly I was introduced to the world of good food.
I moved to Dubai after my marriage, and in retrospect my experiments as a culinary chef and baker all started there. Living away from home, having a handful of friends as family was all we had, we needed an occasion to get together and celebrate. Having the means in those exotic supermarkets equipped with everything you needed I was motivated to try new recipes and with compliments coming from friends I only felt more encouraged to do better. But I never considered it a profession because like most of us, motherhood took over my life.
Life changed when we moved back to india. I had house help to look after my kids, I started feeling the new freedom of having a lot of time in hand for myself and I guess feeling drawn towards baking and cooking was the most natural progression of a path I could have taken.
It’s been a journey, from baking a close relative’s cake on request to now taking orders from local celebrities and being invited to cookery shows on TV. Mostly self-taught, I honed my skills by attending classes locally as well as few workshops including one at Cupcake Central in Melbourne.
Not many people can say that about their job, “I love what I do and introducing people to the world of exotic bakes and great food gives me joy. A happy client is all I strive for.”

Every occasion or in every festival, Laddu is always considered to be an auspicious delicacy.
