The BDS Batch 2026 Course Commencement Ceremony was held on 15th September 2026 at Maharaja Hall, Santosh Deemed to be University, marking the beginning of a new chapter for our newly admitted dental students and their parents.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome and an invocation, followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.

The gathering was addressed by Dr. Manoj Goyal, Pro-Chancellor, Santosh Deemed to be University, and Prof. (Dr.) V. N. Mahalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, Santosh Deemed to be University, who encouraged the students to embrace their academic journey with dedication, curiosity and excellence.

Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Director - Research, Dean - Faculty of Dental Sciences, Director - Santosh Startups Forum, provided an overview of the BDS programme and highlighted the academic and professional opportunities that lie ahead.

A particularly meaningful moment was the “Passing the Lights of Knowledge” ceremony, symbolising the transmission of knowledge, wisdom, values, compassion and professional responsibility from one generation to the next. The students were also introduced to the University’s academic leadership and faculty and sensitised to student safety, a safe learning environment and anti-ragging measures, reinforcing the values of discipline, mutual respect and inclusivity.

As the BDS Batch of 2026 begins its journey at Santosh, we look forward to witnessing their growth into skilled, ethical and compassionate dental professionals.
