The Induction and Orientation Program for Dental Interns (2026 Batch) was conducted on 24th and 25th March 2026, under the aegis of the Dental Education Unit (SDC) and IQAC, Santosh Deemed to be University. The program was designed to familiarize interns with clinical protocols, ethical responsibilities, and professional competencies essential for effective patient care.
Inaugurated with an icebreaking session by Dr. Natasha Gambhir, Assistant Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences, the program featured a rich lineup of expert-led sessions covering clinical protocols, patient safety and error prevention, internship rules and regulations, medico-legal aspects of dental practice, documentation and record keeping, interpersonal communication, rational prescription writing, research opportunities, stress and time management, ethics and professionalism, social media conduct, and NEET-MDS preparation strategies.
The program adopted interactive teaching methodologies — including case-based discussions, group activities, and real-life scenario analysis — ensuring active engagement from participants throughout. The valedictory session included felicitation of speakers and distribution of participation certificates, presided over by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. V.N. Mahalakshmi.
