Researchers Granted Patent for Technology to Make Digital Systems Faster & More Secure!

Researchers from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, have been granted a patent for a hardware-efficient Pseudo-Random Number Generator (PRNG) using Lorenz, Chen, Lü and Pehlivan chaotic systems on FPGA.

👨‍🔬 Inventors: Prof. R. K. Chauhan & Dr. Mangaldeep Gupta

The innovation enables high-speed generation of high-quality pseudo-random sequences with reduced hardware resource requirements, with potential applications in Cybersecurity, IoT, Digital Communication, Embedded Electronics and Scientific Computing.

🔐 By enabling faster and more efficient random-number generation, the technology can contribute to more secure online communication, connected devices and digital services.

iSmartComp-2026 concludes at !

The two-day IEEE International Conference on Intelligent and Smart Computing (iSmartComp-2026) concluded at MMMUT, bringing together experts, researchers, academicians and students from India and abroad to deliberate on AI, smart computing, cybersecurity, energy systems, EVs, battery management and emerging technologies.

The valedictory session featured Prof. Gopal T.K. Krishna, Director, Krishna Engineering Consultants, USA, as Chief Guest; Er. Rohit Kamal Saxena, AI Architect, Reliance Intelligence, Bengaluru & MMMUT alumnus, as Distinguished Guest; Prof. S.N. Singh, Director, ABV-IIITM Gwalior; and Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, MMMUT.

With 1,369 research papers received and 225 selected through rigorous review, the conference promoted research excellence, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Hon'ble VC Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma emphasised that technology should be adopted not merely for its novelty, but for its potential to create meaningful impact on individuals and society.

IEEE iSmartComp-2026 inaugurated at , Gorakhpur!

The two-day International Conference on Intelligent & Smart Computing (iSmartComp-2026) was inaugurated today at MMMUT, bringing together academicians, researchers, industry experts and students from India and abroad.

The conference received an impressive 1,369 research papers, with 225 papers selected after rigorous review—the highest-ever response for a conference organised by a department at MMMUT.

💡 Key insights from the inaugural session:

• Dr. Sudatta Kar, Vice President & Head – AI, Capgemini, highlighted the need for AI that delivers better outcomes with limited energy and computing resources, along with responsible and secure AI deployment.

• Prof. H. M. Suryavanshi, Director, NIT Hamirpur, emphasised AI-driven energy management, battery systems, electric mobility and the integration of AI with physical sciences.

• Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MMMUT, highlighted the University’s focus on preparing students for emerging technologies through Centres of Excellence in AI, Cybersecurity and Space Technology.

• Prof. S. N. Singh, Director, ABV-IIITM, stressed continuous learning, innovation and adaptability as essential skills for researchers in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Girls Hostel Wardens and students of MMMUT, Gorakhpur participated in a spirited Tiranga Yatra as part of the Tiranga Yatra & Rashtrabhakti Pakhwada.

Led by Dr. Meenakshi Choudhary, Associate Dean, Hostel Affairs (Girls), and jointly organised by Dr. Shikha Singh and Dr. Neha Mishra, Wardens of Girls Hostels, the yatra reflected the spirit of patriotism, national unity, integrity and civic responsibility.

Women Lead a Tiranga Yatra 🇮🇳

Under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma, women faculty members, staff, and research scholars of MMMUT, Gorakhpur participated in a spirited Tiranga Yatra as part of the Tiranga Yatra & Rashtrabhakti Pakhwada.

Led by Dr. Meenu, Chairperson, Women Cell, the yatra was jointly organised by the Women Cell, Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), and Women Welfare & Anti-Harassment Cell.

Beginning and concluding at Atal Bhawan, participants marched across the campus holding the Tricolour high, reaffirming the values of patriotism, national unity, integrity, and civic responsibility.
