IEEE iSmartComp-2026 inaugurated at , Gorakhpur!
The two-day International Conference on Intelligent & Smart Computing (iSmartComp-2026) was inaugurated today at MMMUT, bringing together academicians, researchers, industry experts and students from India and abroad.
The conference received an impressive 1,369 research papers, with 225 papers selected after rigorous review—the highest-ever response for a conference organised by a department at MMMUT.
💡 Key insights from the inaugural session:
• Dr. Sudatta Kar, Vice President & Head – AI, Capgemini, highlighted the need for AI that delivers better outcomes with limited energy and computing resources, along with responsible and secure AI deployment.
• Prof. H. M. Suryavanshi, Director, NIT Hamirpur, emphasised AI-driven energy management, battery systems, electric mobility and the integration of AI with physical sciences.
• Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MMMUT, highlighted the University’s focus on preparing students for emerging technologies through Centres of Excellence in AI, Cybersecurity and Space Technology.
• Prof. S. N. Singh, Director, ABV-IIITM, stressed continuous learning, innovation and adaptability as essential skills for researchers in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The conference features research presentations and expert deliberations on intelligent computing, smart computing, cybersecurity, energy systems, electric vehicles, battery management and other emerging technologies.
