Students of the Drone Club, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology visited “Karman Drones” Noida as a part of the Industrial Visit on 28th April 2024.
Students got an opportunity to visit the Karman Drones, a leading manufacturer of high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles. Guided by experienced engineers, the visit provided a fascinating glimpse into the cutting-edge technology and innovative processes behind the creation of these sophisticated drones. From the assembly lines to the testing facilities, students gained firsthand insight into the design, production, and quality control methods employed by Karman Drones. The interactive session sparked curiosity and inspired future professionals, offering a unique opportunity to witness the intersection of theory and practice in the dynamic field of unmanned aerial systems.

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology organized 5 Days Online Training on “Ham Radio License Examination” in collaboration with DARTS (Delhi Amateur Radio Technical Society) from 23rd April 2024 to 27th April 2024. Participants from Outside Colleges , Schools and also faculties, staff , students of Galgotias college joined for the License examination Training. Topics like Benefits of using Ham radio, Ham radio equipment, Restricted, and General Grade licenses, Ham Radio in Disaster Management were discussed during the training session.

India with an aim to strengthen the semiconductor facilities, opened three semiconductor facilities in Dholera, Gujarat ; Sanand, Gujarat and Morigaon, Assam. On 13th March 2024 Honorable Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the three Semi-Conductor facilities.

In view of this Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology organized a seminar titled “India’s Semiconductor Mission –Viksit Bharat @2047 through Research & Innovation” by Dr. Vaithiyanathan Dhandapani NIT Delhi on 13th March 2024 from 9.30am followed by live streaming of Honorable Prime Minister address (YouTube Channel ) at 10.30am. Students also interacted on the topic India’s Semiconductor Mission with faculties conducted by the department.

Students of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology visited “Haier Appliances India” Greater Noida as a part of the Industrial Visit on 1st & 2nd April 2024.
Students got an opportunity to visit the assembly unit of Air Conditioners, TV, Washing Machine etc. The visit proved to be an enriching experience for our students, providing them with valuable insights into the operations and practices of one of the leading names in the appliance industry. The tour of the manufacturing facilities gave our students a firsthand understanding of the technological advancements and quality control measures employed by Haier.

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology Celebrated National Science Day on 28/02/24. National Science Day is a significant occasion that commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman, a momentous achievement in the field of science. Celebration started with Keynote speech by Distinguished Guests Mr.A.K Goel Ex.Deputy Manager NTPC Ltd and Dr.Dhirendra Kumar,Director- Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology & Management (BSSITM), Lucknow on the topic “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat”” and “Role of Science in achieving Sustainable Development Goals”. Students demonstrated the designed Projects to the guests based on the themes like Smart Agriculture, Disaster Management, Home Automation, Pollution Monitoring & Control, RADAR, AI, ROBOTICS, Health & Hygiene.
Students also demonstrated “Sustainable development Goals like No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health & Wellbeing, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean water & Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy etc. Event Concluded with Vote of Thanks.

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering , Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology organized Mini Project Exhibition for the Second Year Students of B.Tech ECE on 01/02/24 at GCET Campus. The event served as a platform for our students to showcase their innovative and practical skills in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The primary objective of the Mini Project Exhibition was to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios. It aimed at fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among our budding engineers. The event featured a diverse range of projects, highlighting the versatility of our students and their ability to address contemporary challenges in the field. The exhibition comprised projects spanning various domains within Electronics and Communication Engineering, including Communication Systems, IoT, Robotics, Embedded Systems etc. The judging panel, consisting of our esteemed Director General and faculty members, evaluated each project based on its technical merit, innovation, presentation, and relevance to industry needs.
