We are proud to announce that Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean of Sharda School of Law, presented on the first day of the prestigious Annual Conference of the Berkeley Center on Comparative & Equality Law, held in Viterbo, Italy (17–19 June 2026).

This presentation marked a significant milestone, as Sharda University stands as the only Indian university to participate in the Equality for All Alliance, an initiative of the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner (UN OHCHR). The research focused on comprehensive equality law in the Indian context, rigorously analysing anti-discrimination legislation by examining statutory frameworks and landmark Supreme Court jurisprudence on equality and non-discrimination.

This groundbreaking collaboration reflects Sharda School of Law's unwavering commitment to bridging global legal scholarship with domestic legal reform - contributing meaningfully to the strengthening of equality protections across diverse jurisdictions and advancing the cause of substantive justice.

The project was supervised by Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, co-ordinated by Faculty Member Ms. Swarnima Gorani, and researched by a dedicated team of students - Ms. Prachi Kashyap, Ms. Diksha Sharma, Mr. Pranjal Sharma, and Ms. Maureen Godwin, whose collective efforts brought this important work to an international stage.

Driven by a vision to make legal support more accessible, the startup is empowering individuals facing debt-related challenges through legal guidance, negotiation assistance, and financial dispute resolution. Making an impact beyond the classroom.

The media highlighted the World No To***co Day 2026 Awareness & Counselling Session organized by the Juvenile Wing of the Pro Bono Club (Legal Aid Society), Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, in collaboration with Tapasya Foundation and Sabrr Foundation at the Government Juvenile Observation Home, Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Engaging over 90 juveniles, the session focused on raising awareness about the harmful effects of to***co and substance abuse, encouraging informed decisions, healthier lifestyles, and a future free from addiction.

Together, we continue to empower young minds through awareness, guidance, and community engagement.

On the occasion of World No To***co Day 2026, the Juvenile Wing of the Pro Bono Club (Legal Aid Society), Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, in collaboration with Tapasya Foundation and Sabrr Foundation, organized a Counselling & Awareness Session on Drug and To***co Addiction at the Government Juvenile Observation Home, Gautam Buddha Nagar, under the theme "Youth Against Addiction."

The programme was attended by more than 90 juveniles and focused on creating awareness about the harmful effects of to***co consumption, substance abuse, and addiction. Through counselling sessions, awareness talks, and motivational interactions, the participants were encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle choices and develop positive behavioural patterns.

The session was conducted by Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Co-Founder and Director, Tapasya Foundation; Mr. Rishabh Tomar, Centre In-Charge, Tapasya Foundation; Mr. Subhash Chanana, De-Addiction Counsellor, Life Coach and Author; Mr. Pradeep Sawhney, Senior De-Addiction Counsellor, Sabrr Foundation; Mr. Neelabh Bisen, De-Addiction Peer Support Counsellor, Sabrr Foundation; Ms. Aarti, Psychologist, Sabrr Foundation; and Ms. Nidhi, Psychologist, Sabrr Foundation.

As a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution towards juvenile rehabilitation and awareness, mementos were presented to the representatives of Tapasya Foundation and Sabrr Foundation.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, Sharda School of Law, and coordinated by Dr. Vaishali Arora and Dr. Manvendra Singh.

Through the message of "Youth Against Addiction," the initiative sought to inspire young individuals to choose a healthy, responsible, and addiction-free lifestyle while reinforcing the importance of awareness, rehabilitation, and positive social change.

Sharda School of Law, Sharda University successfully inaugurated the Faculty Development Programme in collaboration with the Society of Indian Law Firms and Law Teachers India.

The inaugural session on “Legal Education v. Legal Practice: Bridging the Gap” witnessed insightful deliberations by Chief Guest Dr. Manoj Kumar and Guest of Honour Dr. Lalit Bhasin, who emphasized the growing need to align legal education with the realities of professional legal practice and institutional frameworks in India.

Conducted under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, SSOL, Sharda University, the programme aims to strengthen the connection between academia and the legal industry through meaningful dialogue and practical exposure.

Prof. (Dr.) Anita Singh is serving as the Convenor of the programme, while Dr. Vaishali Arora and Dr. Bhumika Sharma are serving as the Co-Convenors.

Scheduled from 25 May 2026 to 06 June 2026, the FDP is designed to provide legal educators and scholars with deeper insights into the evolving law firm ecosystem, ethics, opportunities, and practice-oriented approaches shaping the future of legal education in India.

Media Coverage | Community Outreach Initiative

We are proud to share the media coverage of the recent outreach initiative organised by Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, through its Pro Bono Club in collaboration with Sharda Hospital.

The team successfully conducted a “Dermatology Care Camp & Hygiene Kit–Medicine Distribution Drive” at the Government Juvenile Observation Home (Boys), Gautam Buddha Nagar, with the aim of promoting skin health awareness, personal hygiene, and access to basic healthcare support among adolescents.

The initiative reflects our continued commitment towards community welfare, legal aid, healthcare awareness, and meaningful social impact through collaborative action.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all faculty members, healthcare professionals, student volunteers, and supporting authorities who contributed to making this initiative impactful and successful.
