⚖️ Learning Law Beyond the Classroom

Para-Legal Volunteers of the Legal Aid Society, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, participated in the National Lok Adalat held at Surajpur Court, Gautam Buddha Nagar, on 12 September 2026.

The participation provided students with valuable practical exposure to legal aid, alternative dispute resolution, and access to justice, while strengthening their understanding of the role of Lok Adalats in facilitating timely and amicable dispute resolution.

Sharda School of Law (SSOL) organised an Expert Lecture on “How to Draft Matrimonial Petitions & Applications” with the objective of providing students with practical and practice-oriented insights into drafting pleadings in matrimonial matters on 21st September, 2026 for the final year students of BALLB and BBALLB.

The session was delivered by Ms. Palak Munjal, Advocate, Palak Munjal & Associates and Panel Lawyer, Delhi Legal Aid Services. The lecture focused on bridging the gap between the theoretical study of Family Law and its practical application in legal practice.A particularly practice-oriented component of the lecture was the discussion on common drafting pitfalls. Students were cautioned against vague allegations, failure to provide a chronological narrative, inadequate pleading of jurisdiction, contradictory pleadings and both over-drafting and under-drafting.

The speaker also explained the distinction between material facts and evidence, reinforcing that material facts must be pleaded while the corresponding evidence is used to prove them. The lecture provided students with valuable exposure to the practical dimensions of matrimonial litigation and equipped them with a structured approach to drafting petitions and applications. Prof.(Dr.) Bhupinder Singh and Prof. (Dr.) Tarkesh Molia, HOD, Sharda School of Law graced the occasion.

🏆 Celebrating Excellence in Legal Advocacy ⚖️

We are proud to share that our students Anya Gupta, Kashak Nayan, and Shivani Kumari secured the Best Client Award at the Mock Lok Adalat Competition representing Sharda University.

The competition provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of Lok Adalat proceedings, client counselling, negotiation, communication, and dispute resolution. Through effective teamwork, confident presentation, and a practical approach to the case, the team successfully presented the client’s position and contributed to a meaningful settlement-oriented process.

This achievement reflects their dedication, preparation, confidence, and commitment to developing practical legal skills beyond the classroom.

Sharda School of Law, Sharda University successfully conducted the Summer Internship Viva-Voce Examination for students of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and Final Years on 19th September 2026. The Internship Viva provided students with an opportunity to reflect upon their practical experiences, learning outcomes and professional exposure gained during their internships.

Sharda School of Law extends its sincere gratitude to the esteemed External Examiners for their valuable time, expertise and professional insights- Mr. Arvind Gupta, Advocate-on-Record (AOR), Supreme Court of India and Adv. Reny chauhan, Advocate, Delhi High Court. Their valuable engagement with the students and professional perspectives contributed meaningfully to the academic and practical evaluation process.

We also place on record our appreciation for the Internal Faculty Members of Sharda School of Law, who devoted their valuable time, academic expertise and efforts towards the smooth and systematic conduct of the Internship Viva-Voce.

The Juvenile Justice Wing of the Legal Aid Society, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, successfully organised “Colours of Faith: A Celebration of India’s Religious and Cultural Diversity” at the Government Child Care Institution Gautam Buddha Nagar, for the girls residing therein.

Organised against the backdrop of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Onam, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, and Ganesh Chaturthi, the programme introduced the participants to the significance, traditions, and values associated with these festivals. Through interactive discussions, the juveniles explored how India's diverse religious and cultural practices contribute to a shared sense of belonging, mutual respect, and social harmony.
A creative craft activity formed an integral part of the programme, providing the juveniles with an opportunity to express their imagination, creativity, and understanding of India's diverse cultural traditions. Through their craftwork, the participants enthusiastically showcased their artistic abilities, making the celebration interactive, expressive, and meaningful.

The session highlighted the constitutional and societal significance of “Unity in Diversity”, encouraging participants to appreciate India's pluralistic heritage and the values of fraternity, inclusiveness, empathy, and peaceful coexistence. The initiative connected cultural awareness with social responsibility and the broader objectives of juvenile care and rehabilitation.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, and Prof. (Dr.) Tarkesh Molia, Head of Department, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Vaishali Arora and Dr. Manvendra Singh, Associate Professors, Sharda School of Law.

The initiative was supported by student volunteers Yukta Choudhary, Harsh*ta Karmiyal, Arti Sharma, Misba Ansari, Shagun Singh, Tanya Baghel, and Pooja Rani, whose active involvement contributed to making the programme engaging and meaningful for the participants.

शारदा स्कूल ऑफ लॉ, शारदा विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर “भाषा से न्याय तक” विषय-वस्तु के अंतर्गत “विधिक विषयों पर हिंदी मौखिक वाचन प्रतियोगिता” का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी भाषा के माध्यम से विधि, न्याय, संविधान और समकालीन सामाजिक विषयों पर अपने विचारों को प्रभावशाली एवं रचनात्मक ढंग से अभिव्यक्त करने का अवसर प्रदान करना था।

यह आयोजन प्रो. (डॉ.) ऋषिकेश डेव, डीन, शारदा स्कूल ऑफ लॉ एवं प्रो. (डॉ.) तारकेश मोलिया के सक्षम मार्गदर्शन में विधि एवं हिंदी के सुंदर समागम का एक सार्थक उदाहरण बना। प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने यह प्रदर्शित किया कि विधि की गंभीर एवं तकनीकी विषय-वस्तु को हिंदी जैसी समृद्ध भाषा में भी प्रभावशाली ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है। विद्यार्थियों ने विधिक एवं सामाजिक विषयों पर अपने विचार, तर्क और दृष्टिकोण हिंदी में प्रस्तुत कर अपनी वाक्पटुता तथा विधिक समझ का परिचय दिया।

प्रतियोगिता का निर्णयन डॉ. वार्तिका सक्सेना एवं डॉ. संचित्ता रे द्वारा किया गया। प्रतिभागियों के विषय-ज्ञान, प्रस्तुतीकरण, भाषा की स्पष्टता, तर्कशक्ति एवं अभिव्यक्ति के आधार पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को निम्नलिखित स्थान प्राप्त हुए:

प्रथम स्थान – श्री प्रथम पुनेठा, BBA LL.B., चतुर्थ वर्ष

द्वितीय स्थान – सुश्री अनन्या मोदी, BBA LL.B., द्वितीय वर्ष

इस प्रतियोगिता ने विद्यार्थियों को न केवल हिंदी में अपने विचार व्यक्त करने का मंच प्रदान किया, बल्कि उन्हें विधि और भाषा के परस्पर संबंध को समझने तथा न्याय एवं समाज से जुड़े विषयों पर अपनी स्वतंत्र सोच विकसित करने का अवसर भी दिया। आयोजन ने इस विचार को सशक्त किया कि प्रभावी न्याय के लिए प्रभावी अभिव्यक्ति आवश्यक है और भाषा न्याय तक पहुँच का महत्वपूर्ण माध्यम है।

Alumni Cell and the Internship Committee, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, successfully organised an insightful Expert Lecture on “The Art of Cracking Legal Solutions for Clients” on 9th September 2026.

The session was delivered by Alumni of Sharda School of Law Mr. Yash Agarwal, Advocate and Founder & Managing Advocate of Yash Agarwal Law Firm who provided students with valuable practical insights have given us a valuable understanding of how lawyers can move beyond simply identifying legal issues and actually crack effective solutions for their clients. The interactive session enabled students to understand that being a good lawyer is not only about knowing the law, but also about knowing how to apply it to solve real problems. His  guidance will certainly inspire our students to develop a more strategic and solution-oriented approach towards the legal profession.

The lecture was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rhishikesh Dave, Dean, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, and Prof. (Dr.) Tarkesh Molia, Head of Department, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University. The event was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Urmila Yadav, Dr. Bhumika Sharma and Mr. Mohiuddin Siddiqui.

The session reflected the School’s continued commitment to bridging academic learning with professional legal practice and providing students with meaningful exposure to strategic approach, meticulous case preparation, and practical problem-solving skills.
