एक बड़ी फार्मा कंपनी, गोयल एंड गोयल LLP, न्यूयॉर्क, USA के निदेशक डॉक्टर प्रेम गोयल के द्वारा व्याख्यान दिया गया l व्याख्यान का शीर्षक "21 वीं सदी के लिए स्वास्थ्य देखभाल में फार्मास्युटिकल उद्योग की भूमिका" था l व्याख्यान देते हुए डॉ प्रेम गोयल ने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र, दुनिया के सामाजिक और आर्थिक विकास में महत्त्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों में से एक है। यही कारण है कि दवा उद्योग को आर्थिक विकास की प्रक्रिया में एक प्रमुख उद्योग के रूप में देखा जाता है। भारतीय दवा उद्योग वैश्विक फार्मा सेक्टर में एक महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान रखता है और हाल के वर्षों में इसमें उल्लेखनीय विकास भी हुआ है
