Metro College of Nursing, Greater Noida, U.P successfully organized a students’ onboarding session on Osmosis Nursing by Elsevier on 24’th of August, 2026, under the visionary Leadership of Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, Managing Director, MCHSR.
The programme was guided by Dr. Kanak Lata, Director Education, MCHSR, and supported by Dr. Praveen Kumar Gaur, Director Campus, Dr. Prachi Awasthi, Principal, Prof. Muzaffar Ahamad Makrani, Dean Academics, Prof. Parshant Thakur, Vice Principal, along with all faculty members.

The event was led by Ms. Akanksha Sharma, and Ms. Saba Hashmi, Nursing Tutors, who facilitated the onboarding and registration process for the students.

The onboarding session was conducted from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, during which B.Sc. Nursing students were introduced to the Osmosis Nursing digital learning platform by Elsevier. Students were oriented to the platform’s educational resources and guided on how to access and utilize the available learning content to enhance their understanding of nursing subjects and support their academic preparation.

Following the orientation, student registration was conducted from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Students completed registration and received guidance on the initial steps to access and navigate the platform.

The session provided students with hands-on familiarity with a modern digital learning resource and encouraged the integration of technology into their academic learning.
The initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening digital education, promoting self-directed learning, and enhancing technology enabled nursing education at Metro College of Nursing.

Metro College of Nursing,organized the A.N.M, G.N.M. & Allied And Health Care Nursing Orientation Programme on 22nd August 2026, warmly welcoming newly admitted students and their parents to Metro family. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the college environment and acquaint them with the institution's academic framework and learning opportunities.

The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing wisdom and new beginnings.

The gathering was blessed with the inspiring blessings of *Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta*,Managing Director MCHSR, spoke on the nobility of the nursing profession, calling it a sacred calling dedicated to compassionate care and service to humanity.

Ms. Smita and Ms. Shivani Choudhary Nursing Tutor extended the formal welcome to all dignitaries, faculty, students, and parents present.

Dr. Kanak Lata, Director-Education, MCHSR, Dr. Praveen Gaur Director Campus, Dr. Prachi Awasthi, Principal, Metro College of Nursing, Prof.Muzaffar Makrani, Dean Academics and Prof. Parshant Thakur ,Vice Principal Nursing, encouraged students to pursue nursing with dedication, compassion, and lifelong learning.

Ms. Rashmi, Nursing Tutor, gave an overview of the Metro Group of Hospitas, highlighting its infrastructure, labs, library, hostel facilities, and Parent hospitals for clinical training.

Top academic performers were facilitated in a Prize Distribution Ceremony graced by Ms. Jaunita Johan Barren and Mr. Sachin. Admission Kits were then distributed to new students by Ms. Komal, Assistant Professor, in the presence of their parents, who expressed appreciation for the institution's quality education and infrastructure.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Monika Kushwaha, Assistant Professor, marking an inspiring start to the new academic session at Metro College of Nursing.

Metro College of Nursing, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, actively participated in an online workshop organised by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, focusing on the electronic resources available through the ABVMU e-library consortium.

The workshop provided an insightful and practical orientation to various digital academic resources available through the ABVMU e-library consortium. The university resource person provided detailed guidance on EBSCO, including the process of obtaining access credentials, authentication and accessing nursing related academic content. Participants were also guided on exploring e-books, nursing journals, study notes and other scholarly resources available through the e-library.
A dedicated session on clinical key was conducted by Ms. Charu Mehra from Elsevier which was based on informative demonstration of the digital library and its database, including the login and access process. Participants were further introduced to the effective utilization of digital learning resources, including the integration of video links into Powerpoint presentations, which can enhance classroom teaching and student learning.

Faculty members of Metro College of Nursing, along with students from NPCC, B.Sc. Nursing, and GNM programmes, enthusiastically participated in the entire workshop. Their active participation reflected the institution’s commitment towards promoting digital literacy, evidence based learning, academic excellence and effective utilization of technology in nursing education.
The workshop was highly informative, engaging and fruitful, providing both faculty and students with practical knowledge and confidence to access and utilize authentic digital resources for teaching, learning, assignments, clinical education and research.

We sincerely appreciates Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, for taking such progressive and student centric initiatives to strengthen access to quality digital academic resources. Initiatives such as the ABVMU e-library consortium play a significant role in bridging the gap between traditional learning and technology enabled education. By facilitating access to reputed scholarly databases, e-books, journals and digital learning resources. ABVMU is making a valuable contribution towards strengthening evidence based nursing education, research, faculty development and lifelong learning.
The workshop was a commendable initiative that empowered both faculty and students to make effective, informed and meaningful use of digital academic resources.

Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta (Managing Director), Metro College of Health Sciences & Research organized an industrial visit for B.Pharm and D.Pharm students to Radicon Laboratories Ltd., Greater Noida, on August 21, 2026.

The students were guided through the Production, QA, and QC departments, where they gained insights into granulation, compression, tablet punching, tablet coating, capsule filling and sorting, inspection booths, ointment filling, various instrumentations principle & working, SOPs, GMP guidelines, hygiene practices, safety measures, and in-process quality checks.

An interactive session with industry professionals helped clarify doubts related to pharmaceutical operations, quality standards, and career opportunities.

Overall, the visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial experience.

Metro College of Health Sciences & Research observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with an impactful awareness programme aimed at promoting a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society.
The programme featured an engaging Poster Making & Poster Presentation Activity, where students creatively expressed powerful messages on drug abuse prevention, awareness, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The activity reflected their creativity, social responsibility, and commitment towards building a drug-free society.
As part of the initiative, students and faculty members took the Drug-Free India Pledge (Nasha Mukti Shapath), reaffirming their commitment to staying away from drugs and spreading awareness among their families, peers, and society.
Students also participated in the MyGov online quiz on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, enhancing their understanding of the health risks associated with substance abuse, preventive measures, and the importance of collective action against illicit drug trafficking.
Together, let us empower our youth, promote awareness, and work towards a healthier, safer, and addiction-free society.

Metro College of Health Sciences and Research bid a warm and memorable farewell to the outgoing batches of B.Pharm (2022–26) and D.Pharm (2024–26) on 20 August 2026.

The farewell ceremony was a celebration of achievements, cherished memories, friendships and the journey shared by our graduating students. Organised with great enthusiasm by the junior students, the event reflected the strong sense of camaraderie, respect and affection that defines the MCHSR family.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana, followed by a vibrant array of cultural performances, engaging activities and heartfelt reflections from the graduating students.

A particularly inspiring moment was the message shared by Dr. Kanak Lata, who reminded the graduating students that their journey ahead is not a goodbye, but a launch towards new opportunities, achievements and responsibilities.

Metro college of Nursing provided opportunity, under IKS - cell A movie show was organized for B.Sc. Nursing Ist Semester students of Metro College of Nursing, Greater Noida, on 08 August 2026, under the supervision of Ms. Saba Hashmi and Ms. Rashmi Singh.

Under the Guidance of Dr. Kanak Lata Director Education MCHSR, with constant support Dr. Praveen K. Gaur, Director–Campus, MCHSR, Dr.Prachi Awasthi Principal MCN and under Supervision Prof. Parshant Thakur, Vice Principal.

The screening of Movie : "Eyewitness to a Nation" by India TV at PVR superplex, DLF Mall, provided students with meaningful insights into India’s history, heritage, unity, patriotism, and social responsibility, while encouraging reflection on their role as responsible citizens and future healthcare professionals.

The activity concluded with student feedback and refreshments. Overall, it was an enriching educational experience that promoted learning beyond the classroom.
