We are thrilled to share that Dr. (Prof.) Purshotam Lal, Chairman of Metro Group of Hospitals, was recently featured in an exclusive interview with FE Healthcare — the healthcare vertical of Financial Express B2B, one of India's most respected business media platforms with a readership spanning healthcare leaders, policymakers, investors, and industry professionals across the country.

In this insightful conversation, Dr. Lal delves into the rapidly transforming landscape of healthcare in Bharat — touching on the operational and financial complexities of running a modern hospital chain, the evolving relationship between hospitals and insurers, and the role of private equity and health-tech in reshaping competition. He also shares his perspective on how digitalisation is redefining patient acquisition and continuity of care, and what it truly takes to make quality tertiary care accessible in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

As India's healthcare sector moves toward an $850 billion valuation by 2030, Dr. Lal's insights offer a grounded, experience-backed view of what sustainable growth in this sector looks like — and why trust, not just technology or capital, remains the ultimate differentiator.
