FMG Group of Institution FMG Group of Institutions, a non-profit educational enterprise was established in the year 2010. The program was approved by AICTE, Govt.

The group was promoted by M/S Fashion Makers Group having an international standing for more than 3 decades. The groups started its first academic program, Master in Business Administration (MBA) in the department of management and technology. of India and got affiliation from UPTU, Lucknow UP. Two more programs, Bachelor of Business administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

were added to the Department of Management and Technology in the year 2011. These programs got affiliation from Chaudhray Charan Singh University, Meerut, UP.

Draping Workshop
(22nd April – 23rd April 2019)

BFAD Department conducted a two day workshop on Draping from 22nd April to 23rd April, 2019. The chief guest of the workshop was Mr. Milind, a UK based fashion designer and owner of an E-commerce brand “Fashion under Arrest”. Objective of this workshop was to introduce the basic techniques of draping the garment as done in the industry, to the students and generating some innovative ideas. The students of BFAD had participated in the workshop and created various designs as per the guidelines given to them.
Mr. Milind had created a familiar environment among students and explained draping technique of garment designing using dart manipulation, conversion of darts to tucks, pleats and gathers and different types for collars. He also explained the entire design process in the garment industry and how should students work towards getting in-sync with the current market trends. This workshop played an important role in developing interest and building up self confidence among students to generate their ideas to experiment and come up with their own designs.

AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO MCLOEDGANJ & DHARAMSHALA, HIMACHAL
PRADESH

The Department of Applied Art and Craft organised an educational tour to Mcloedganj & Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh from 28th February 2019 – 04th March 2019. The students visited and explored many historical and cultural locations, picturesque landscape sites with faculty members.
The town exposed students to beautiful cultural blend of Tibetan with some British influence. The Norbulingka institute in Dharamshala helped students to witness Tibetan artisans and their apprentices as they practiced the ancient Buddhist art forms of statue-making, thangka painting, thangka applique, as well as the decorative arts of woodcarving, wood painting, tailoring, and weaving. The enchanting visuals, fascinating natural scenic beauty and rich cultural tradition made the tour unforgettable full of cherished memories for the students of FMG.
