Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Vice Chairman Professor K. Rama Mohana Rao today morning delivered a keynote address on “Reforms in Higher Education - Unleashing Youth Empowerment” at SRGEC. He said that subject oriented learning is the ultimate stepping stone for a bright future of a student. He said that it will transform higher education according to future needs by using modern technology and student should be trained in the areas of analytical skills and skill assessment, employment surveys should be done.

In the realm of music, Padma Shri awardee Avasarala Kanyakumari and her group, known as "Swara Sammelanam," presented Thyagaraja kirtans, Annamayya kirtans, and other musical compositions. Supported by nine instrumentalists, the performance was nothing short of transporting the audience to a different musical realm, leaving a lasting impression.

The Chief Guest of the inauguration programme was Dr. G Sateesh Reddy, President of the Aeronautical Society of India, Former Secretary, Department of Defense R&D, Chairman DRDO & Former Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri

Address by Special Guest, Padma Shri Awardee Dr T Hanuman Chowdary, Former IT Advisor, Govt of AP, & Founder CMD, VSNL.

Dr. T.Hanuman Chowdary, who was the special guest, explained the greatness of India and said that the future of the country depends on the youth and the importance of strategic plans to tap their power and energy. Dr. G.Sateesh Reddy, who was the chief guest, said that in the next two to three years, India will become a superpower in the Atomic and satellite sectors. After that, Dr Reddy explained with examples how India is moving forward in terms of development in various fields. He said that the Indian government will take step by step to reduce the cost of protecting the environment in the future with reference to defense technology.

Dr. Sateesh Reddy unveiled a book with a comprehensive history of 25 years of the development of the college, titled, “25 years of Seshadri Rao Gudlavalleru Engineering College”. Presidential address was made by Dr Nageswara Rao Vallurupalli, Chairman, SRGEC.

Techfest with Incubation Stalls were arranged. In this, Purple Drone Tech Pvt Ltd, Guntur, Krushi Bharat, Machilipatnam, Healthy Healer, KL University, Singaluru edible and eatable cups, and many more samples were displayed and were explained to the visitors. All the management members, Principal B Karuna Kumar and other college officials, staff and students participated.
