ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Establishment:Gudlavalleru Engineering College is located in serene green fields of Gudlavalleru, a popular village in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. Educational Society, Seshadri Rao Knowledge Village, Gudlavalleru which was established in the year 1981 with the main objective of establishing, aiding and maintaining technical, engineering and general educational institution
s. In pursuance of this, the Society established A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. Polytechnic in the year 1981, A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. English Medium High School in 1988, Gudlavalleru Engineering College in 1998 and V.V. Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2010. Location: Gudlavalleru is a popular village in Andhra Pradesh, famous for its cattle fair and rice milling industry. Its villagers are known for their pioneering work in poultry and dairy farming. The village has been a hub of educational activity with a number of educational institutions located in it. Its Panchayat has the distinction of being honoured at the National level in 1973. Gudlavalleru is located on Gudivada-Machilipatnam route, well connected by road and rail to Vijayawada(55km), Machilipatnam(26km) and Gudivada(9km) and by rail to distant places like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Chennai, Bangalore, Puri, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur. Management Members: Gudlavalleru Engineering College was founded by the pragmatic, sagacious and prudent Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao, who was also a role model to the staff members. Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao with Dr. Nageswara Rao Vallurupalli, present Chairman, as advisor was instrumental in the growth of the college in the initial 10 years. He is affectionately called as “The Father of Gudlavalleru Engineering College”. The institution is presently marching forward under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Nageswara Rao Vallurupalli, Chairman, Sri Musunuri Srinivasa Rao, Co-Chairman, Er. Satyanarayana Rao Vallurupalli, Secretary & Correspondent, Sri Vallurupalli Rama Krishna, Co-Secretary & Correspondent and other Management Members. The college was accorded permanent affiliation by the then JNTU, Hyderabad in 2006 and now by JNTUK, Kakinada from 2010. Courses: This college was started with an intake of 180 in EEE, ME, ECE & CSE branches of B.Tech courses in 1981. Keeping in view the demand for quality education with credibility and employment prospects as aspired by the parents and students seeking engineering education, the college has registered a phenomenal growth with additional branches and intake in both UG & PG programmes. At Present the college is offering UG B.Tech Courses in Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence and Data science (AIDS), Internet of Things (IoT) , Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML). PG M.Tech Courses – Structural Engineering (SE), Power Electronics and Electric Drives (PEED), Machine Design (MD), VLSI Design and Embedded Systems (VLSID & ES) and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML), beside PG–Master of Business Administration (MBA). Medical Centre: College maintains a Medical Centre with attached clinical Laboratory for routine tests with two MBBS doctors and two full-time medical assistants.
24 Hours ambulance facility is provided. Free vaccination against Typhoid & Hepatitis to all first year students every year. Canteen & Student Lounge: Hygienically maintain spacious Canteen with modern Amenities and comfortably furnished student lounge are located in Amenities Block. ATM facility and SBI Service Counter are located on the campus. Co-Operative Stores is maintained on no profit no loss basis. Transport: about 28 buses provided for student transport from Vijayawada, Vuyyuru, Gudivada, Challaplli, Kaikaluru and other places enroute. Drinking Water: Purified water (UV–RO treated oxidized) is supplied to all academic blocks, canteen and hostels.
