Raga - The war of bands:
Team size: 3 to 8
Time duration: Prelims - 10 minutes, finals - 25 minutes (both inclusive of soundcheck)
Rules:
1. At least 1 vocalist and at least 3 different instruments required (different guitars counted individually), and 1 percussion instrument compulsory.
2. Bands can perform any song(s) of their choice, cover or an original composition.
3. Top 3 Bands selected for the finals would perform in the evening after the Cultural Night 1.
4. Judging Criteria: Quality of vocals, Quality of instrumental music, Tightness, Synchronization, Choice of song, Overall performance as a band.
5. Purely classical numbers are not allowed. However, a classical refrain is allowed.
6. Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
7. Time Limit should be strictly followed. Participants will be penalized by judges for not doing so.
8. No person may perform in more than 2 bands.
9. The decision of the organizers with respect to line-up would be final.
10. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
