Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.K. Misra Ji, Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, continues to excel in student development activities. NCC cadets Under Officer Mohit Kumar and Senior Under Officer Himanshu Choudhary proudly represented the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh Directorate at the prestigious Youth Exchange Program 2025 during the All India Desert Safari Camp 2K25 at Jaisalmer. Only 15 cadets from the entire directorate were selected for this national-level camp. Dr. S.K. Misra Ji felicitated the cadets and appreciated their dedication, discipline, and leadership qualities, bringing pride and honour to SBSSU.

Under the able guidance of Dr. S. K. Misra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, the Centre for Continuing Education organized a workshop on “Efficient Conduct and Evaluation of University Examinations.” Registrar, Deans, HODs, and faculty members attended the workshop. Dr. Naveen Beri explained the responsibilities and procedures related to university examinations and emphasized transparency and discipline in the examination system. Dr. Harish Pungotra also addressed the gathering. Dr. S. K. Misra motivated the faculty to maintain high academic and examination standards of the university through sincerity, dedication, and professionalism.

Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, organized a workshop on “Enhancing the Quality of Question Papers” in line with NEP-2020 guidelines. The session was attended by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. K. Misra, Director IQAC, Prof. Rakesh Dogra, Registrar, Deans, HODs, and faculty members. The speakers highlighted the importance of well-structured question papers, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Outcome-Based Education in ensuring quality assessment and academic excellence. Dr. Misra encouraged faculty members to improve question paper setting practices to strengthen institutional credibility and enhance student learning outcomes.
