An Industrial Visit to Network Bulls, Gurugram, was organized on 1 October 2026
to provide practical exposure to networking technologies and real-world IT
infrastructure to the students of AIFT Batch 2025 students of SGT University. The
Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), School of Engineering
and Technology (SOET), SGT University, successfully conducted this visit.
During the visit, students gained insights into modern networking technologies,
routing and switching, network security, cloud computing, and data centre
operations. The interaction with industry professionals helped students understand
the practical applications of computer networks and the skills required to meet
current industry demands.
Faculty Coordinator Dr. Satnam Kaur and Dr. Tanvi accompanied the students
during the visit.

Such experiential learning opportunities play a vital role in enhancing students’
technical knowledge, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical
applications, and preparing them for future industry challenges.

Day 1 of the Faculty Development Program on “AI for Educators”, organized by the Department of Computer Applications, School of Engineering and Technology, SGT University, concluded on a highly energetic and inspiring note!

With 200+ enthusiastic faculty members and educators coming together, the session became a vibrant platform for learning, exploration, innovation, and discovering the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education. 🎓💡

The session was expertly delivered by Mr. Himanshu Soouda, AI analyst and Subject Matter Expert IBM SkillsBuild, who introduced participants to innovative AI-powered teaching and learning tools designed to enhance classroom engagement, content creation, assessment, and personalized learning.

🔹 Teachable Machine – Building machine learning models without coding
🔹 Curipod – Interactive AI-powered presentations and learning activities

As a part of our industrial visit, we visited Xebia, Sector 59, Gurugram, to gain practical exposure to the corporate IT industry and understand the skills, competencies, and professional practices required to succeed in the technology sector. The visit provided valuable insights into professional communication, data science, problem-solving, innovation, and industry-oriented skills.
The interactive sessions helped students understand how technical knowledge can be combined with communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, and professional skills to address real-world challenges. The visit also provided an opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with current industry practices and understand the evolving requirements of the technology sector.

The Torque Club, School of Engineering and Technology, SGT University, Gurugram, organized a hands-on Drone Flying, Operation and Mapping Workshop on 28 September 2026 with Mr. Yash Kansal as the Industry Expert. The workshop introduced students to the fundamentals and brief history of UAVs, their significance, key components, flight dynamics, basic manoeuvring, regulatory requirements and licensing in India, career opportunities, and major application areas. Mr. Kansal also demonstrated the QGroundControl software interface for drone operation and mission planning, followed by a practical field session on drone flying. The workshop helped students build a clearer understanding of UAV systems, safe and compliant operations, basic mission planning, and practical flight control, while also exposing them to real-world applications of drones in mapping and engineering. Overall, the session strengthened students’ technical awareness, practical confidence, and industry-oriented skills by connecting classroom learning with hands-on UAV experience.
