My journey in sports began when I was in the 3rd standard, inspired by my sister’s love for Badminton —a sport that quickly became my passion. My mother, a former professional footballer and hockey player, and my father wholeheartedly supported my dreams. Their unwavering belief became the foundation of my journey. Whether it meant waking up at 4 a.m. or navigating the evening rush to make it to practice, they stood by me every step of the way.
One of my most cherished moments came when my mother was invited to light the ceremonial lamp at my school. That same year, I had the honor of representing my state at the nationals in badminton. The pride in her eyes as she watched me on that stage was a reward far greater than any medal. Another unforgettable milestone came in 2017, when I was chosen as the torchbearer for Sports Day—a symbolic role that felt like carrying forward a family legacy of resilience and determination.
Badminton remained a constant companion throughout my undergraduate years. While winning gold and silver medals brought joy, the deeper lessons of the sport shaped me in profound ways. Badminton taught me discipline through rigorous training, teamwork through doubles matches, and resilience in the face of setbacks.
Today, I stand strong, molded by the countless hours on the court, the sacrifices of my parents, and the enduring spirit of the game. Badminton has given me more than victories—it has given me purpose, a bond with my family, and a lasting belief in the power of dedication and hard work.
