Field-based research begins with engaging closely with realities beyond the classroom.
We are pleased to share that Anjel Minj and Meher Rehman, second-year students from the B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Studies programme at BML Munjal University, have been selected for the prestigious Abhijit Sen Rural Internship.
Organised by the National Foundation of India in memory of Prof. Abhijit Sen, one of India’s most influential development economists and public policy thinkers, the internship brings together a select group of students from across the country for field research centred on rural communities and public policy.
Participants work directly with communities through sustained engagement with communities and on-ground research, developing a deeper understanding of socio-economic realities and the policy questions that emerge from them. Selected through a rigorous national-level process, Anjel and Meher were among 50 candidates chosen nationwide.
Experiences like these remain central to how students at BMU approach research and engagement with public issues.
Congratulations to Anjel and Meher on this recognition.
