BML Munjal University appoints Ashok Kapoor as dean of corporate engagement
Hero Group-founded BML Munjal University has appointed professor Ashok Kapoor as dean, corporate engagement. With over 37 years of professional experience in industry and academics, Kapoor will be responsible for people development programmes (PDPs), placement committee and practice school activities, in addition to creating international and domestic continuing education opportunities.
Kapoor holds a B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani and a Masters in Management Studies from the same institute. His industry experience includes stints in companies such as Voltas, Eicher, where he worked in areas of internal consulting, corporate materials, marketing, marketing services, training, corporate communications, corporate strategy and new products.
In the past 24 years, he has been actively involved in academics and training with All India Management Association (AIMA), ARM-TREE and MDI. Kapoor is active in social service and runs a trust named StMARG and mentors another one named VNAMR which work in the area of social entrepreneurship, value based education, health related projects and generating resources for other NGOs.
"Professor Kapoor brings with him significant academic experience; institution building capabilities and a unique depth of experience in the industrial sector," said Akshay Munjal, president, BML Munjal University said. "The university seeks to nurture leaders who are skilled, knowledgeable and have the life skills required for leading their organisations to success.
