Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning [Approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi, Higher Technical Education Govt. of Assam and affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University] was the first Architecture Institute in the North East Regions of India and now is 15 year old in providing quality education to students. The college offers:
- 5 year Bachelor Degree in Architecture
- 2

year Master Degree program in Planning (Urban & Regional Planning)
- 3 year Degree in B.Sc. Planning to encourage the students from financially weaker background and also the students with excellent academic background to enable them to achieve their
dreams. Eminent personalities are invited from all over India as visiting faculty and Guest Lecturers from time to time. Every month visiting faculties from Sir. College of Architecture, Mumbai and other prominent Institutes visit GCA every month to guide and nurture the students in their studies and final year thesis. GCA has collaborated with Kamla Raheja School of Architecture and Environmental Studies, Mumbai for study tour to various Heritage sites. These Study trips are later showcased in the form of Exhibition and documentation is published every year. An MOU has been signed with CEPT University, Ahmedabad for educational programmes. The college has evolved over the years and ten batches of students have passed out with 100% placement track record.

A Huge Congratulations !!!🏆💐

TAMALI DUTTA , B.Arch 7th semester student of Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning for winning the BEST DESIGN AWARD in category 2 (students) organized by "Associations of Architects Assam".

She bagged a cash prize of ₹25,000/- for her outstanding design of a Public Amenity Building : with facilities like drinking water, toilets, baby changing rooms, and a strong emphasis on accessibility for Differently Abled Persons (DAP).

Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning B.Arch and B.I.D students had an incredible experience at the 3- day Building, Architecture, Interior and Construction (BAIC) exhibition held at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati from 12/09/25 till 14/09/25

Under the guidance of our esteemed management , faculty members and staff members, they showcased their outstanding work through impressive sheets and models .

The event was a huge success, with students learning from eminent speakers, industry experts, exploring innovative building materials, and admiring diverse artwork. We're thrilled to see our students thrive!

Happy 79th Independence Day! 🇮🇳🪷
Today our college celebrated 79th Independence Day with fervor and enthusiasm.

The theme of this year's celebration is "Naya Bharat",The theme emphasis on national development and collective responsibility .

The campus was adorned with the tricolor, and students and staff alike came together to commemorate the historic occasion. The day commenced with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony at 9:30 am , where the national anthem echoed through the air, filling everyone's hearts with pride.

Followed with some inspiring words of our Principal, Ar. Saahil Das sir inspired us with his words on the significance of freedom and responsibility.

The celebration continued with a skit performance curating a story of our freedom fighters that showcased the diverse talents of our student.
