As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a speech competition was organised among the students on the theme “Economic Development and Environmental Sustainability.” the competition was judged by Mrs Subhana Azmi , assistant professor department of education, Mr Abdus Salam Haque assistant professor, Department of eanglish, Dr Tilesh kaman, assistant professor Department of Assamese. Dr Maneswar Baro , Dr Sewali Gogoi, Dr Amarjit Daimary , Malabika Baruah, Akhil ch Bara , Dr Arup Deka and other faculties were also present.
The competition provided an opportunity for students to express their views on the interrelationship between economic growth and environmental protection.
The participants highlighted their concerns regarding the current environmental situation in the country, including environmental degradation and the need for sustainable use of natural resources. At the same time, they emphasised the importance of economic growth and development for mproving living standards, generating employment and promoting overall socio-economic progress.
At the conclusion of the competition, first, second and third prizes were awarded to the outstanding participants in recognition of their performance and thoughtful presentations.
