On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, it was an honour to join the Amity fraternity in paying tribute to our freedom fighters and celebrating the pride, unity and spirit of our great nation.

Our freedom is a priceless legacy built through the courage and sacrifices of countless heroes. It is now the responsibility of our young generation to carry this legacy forward through discipline, integrity, commitment and excellence.

I urge our youth to recognise their responsibility towards the nation, uphold the highest values of character and use their education and abilities to contribute towards a strong, self-reliant and developed India.

Let us inspire our young minds to put Nation First, serve with dedication and work collectively towards a brighter future for Bharat.

I take this opportunity to wish all Indians including those settled abroad, a Very Happy 80th Independence Day. Let us remember the sacrifices made by our Freedom fighters and Defence Forces to get Freedom and also to preserve it.

We at Amity University Madhya Pradesh warmly welcomed our new batch of students at Deeksharambh 2026, marking the beginning of the Academic Session 2026–27.

The programme began with a traditional Hawan and Vedic rituals, reflecting our commitment to blending India's rich cultural heritage with world-class education. We were also honoured to share the inspiring message of our Hon'ble Chancellor, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, who encouraged students to continuously learn, innovate and develop into globally responsible citizens rooted in strong human values.

While addressing the students, we shared that a university is not merely a place to earn a degree; it is a platform for building character, leadership, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility. I encouraged students to adopt the BHAAG Success Mantra—Behaviour, Hard Work, Attitude, Ambition, and God—as the guiding principles of their academic and personal lives. These values, coupled with perseverance and a positive mindset, will empower them to overcome challenges and achieve excellence.

It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of our new students as they begin their journey at Amity. I wish them a fulfilling and successful university life, where they grow into ethical professionals, visionary leaders and responsible citizens committed to nation-building.

The 9th Edition of Model United Nations (MUN 9.0) at Amity University Madhya Pradesh concluded on a highly encouraging note, bringing together bright young minds from renowned schools and universities across India to deliberate on some of the most significant national and global issues.

The enthusiasm, confidence and intellectual maturity displayed by the delegates reaffirmed the importance of creating platforms that encourage dialogue, diplomacy, and informed decision-making among the youth.

While addressing the gathering, we highlighted that the changing global landscape calls for greater participation and representation, particularly in matters concerning women and inclusive governance. The discussions held during this edition of MUN reflected these evolving priorities while encouraging students to think critically, appreciate diverse perspectives and contribute meaningfully to society. Such initiatives inspire young minds to dream big, lead with integrity and serve the nation with commitment.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sukhsimranjit Singh, Founder, Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) & Singh Academy (USA), Board Member, Weinstein International Foundation (California), and Ms. Jasbir Kaur, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Level-4 Mediator, Singapore International Mediation Institute, whose thought-provoking interactions added immense value to the event.

I congratulate Amity Law School, the organizing committee, faculty members, student secretariat, volunteers and every participant for the successful conduct of MUN 9.0.

I believe that the knowledge, confidence and leadership qualities gained through this experience will continue to shape the future of our young leaders.

Amity Space Design Competition (ASDC) 2025–26 organised by Amity Children Science Foundation at Amity University Madhya Pradesh, was an inspiring initiative that nurtured scientific temperament, innovation and problem-solving among young minds. Around 400 students from Amity International Schools joined us for a competition filled with innovation, creativity and scientific exploration.

Students were delighted to interact with Shri T. K. Sundara Murthy, Mission Director, ISRO, whose insightful address on India's remarkable space achievements, including the Mangalyaan mission and the future of space habitation, inspired students to think beyond boundaries and pursue excellence in science and technology.

While addressing the participants, we emphasized that India is rapidly emerging as a global leader in space science and technology, and such platforms play a vital role in encouraging students to develop scientific thinking, innovation, and a research-oriented mindset. Direct interaction with accomplished scientists motivates young learners to dream big, embrace challenges, and contribute meaningfully to the nation's scientific progress.

The competition witnessed remarkable presentations on future space technologies, sustainable space habitats, and engineering innovations, reflecting the immense potential of our young innovators. It was heartening to felicitate the winning teams and appreciate the enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication displayed by all participants.

I congratulate the Amity Children Science Foundation, the organizing team, faculty members, mentors, and every participant for making this event a grand success. Together, we will continue to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators who will contribute to building a stronger and self-reliant India.

On the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima, we at Amity University Madhya Pradesh came together to pay tribute to the timeless Guru–Shishya Parampara, the foundation of India's rich cultural and educational heritage.

The celebration commenced with a Poster Making Competition, where students creatively portrayed the significance of Guru Purnima, Indian culture and the invaluable role of teachers in shaping society. Their thoughtful expressions reflected the deep respect our young minds hold for the guiding forces in their lives.

The programme was enriched by inspiring addresses from:
• Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Holani, Former Professor, Jiwaji University, Gwalior
• Prof. (Major) Dr. Asha Mathur, Former Principal, Government K.R.G. College, Gwalior

They shared profound insights on the importance of teachers, values, and the enduring relevance of India's educational traditions.

One of the most meaningful moments of the programme was the felicitation of parents. As a university, we firmly believe that parents are a child's first Gurus, whose love, sacrifices and values lay the strongest foundation for lifelong learning and character building. Honouring them was a heartfelt acknowledgement of their invaluable role in shaping responsible and compassionate individuals and citizens of our great country.

While addressing the gathering, we encouraged our students to imbibe the ideals of their Gurus and uphold the values of discipline, humility, integrity, and lifelong learning. Every student should strive to honour their teachers by translating knowledge into meaningful action and becoming responsible global citizens.

On this sacred occasion, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every teacher, mentor and parent whose wisdom, dedication, and guidance continue to inspire generations.

The Orientation Programme for our second, third and final-year students was organised at Amity University Madhya Pradesh, which commenced with a sacred Hawan, seeking divine blessings for a year of learning, discipline and excellence.

The inspiring virtual address by our Hon'ble Chairman, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, encouraged students to embrace the BHAAG Success Mantra - Behaviour, Hard Work, Ambition, Attitude and God, and make the most of their university journey by pursuing academic excellence, developing leadership qualities, adopting emerging technologies responsibly and remaining lifelong learners.

While addressing the students, we emphasized the importance of holistic development, highlighting the introduction of Yoga & Meditation and Universal Human Values as integral components of the curriculum. These initiatives are designed to nurture not only academically competent professionals but also responsible, ethical, and compassionate citizens. I also encouraged students to stay focused on their goals, maintain discipline, and make the best use of the University's academic and career development opportunities.

The programme concluded with a solemn observance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, where we paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for our nation. A documentary on the Kargil War and a two-minute silence served as a reminder of their extraordinary courage, inspiring our students to uphold the values of patriotism, dedication and selfless service.
