Had a visit to MITS three days back, felt very nostalgic but it seems the system had changed completely.! and what a s**t it has become after Dr. Bisen left.
I went there to collect my college transcript (a single page compiled marksheet) and a letter from the college that the medium of instruction during the course was in english . paid the desired amount to the accountant after that i went to the accounts
section, first time in my life I had one of worst experiences of my life particularly a senior accountant from the college section asked me for a bribe and threaten to delay my documents if i don't pay him .I was very polite with that person and when some staff tried (accountant Mr. Kheelchand and Mr. bhargav was very helpful.) to help fasten my process that guy( Tiwari) started fighting with the other staff .
I requested the registrar Mr. Paliwal to intervene but that guy(Tiwari) refused to print the documents i needed , since i was the off station candidate and had no time so i waited and heard that person patiently . The Accounts section was a mess ! no one had a preformatted softcopy of the transcript . ! no letterheads, printer not there to print. no standard template for medium of instruction letter available and we are talking about celebrating 60 years and blah blah ! ..I had a return train at 5 PM and i got the documents at 4.55 PM. Sigh!

I request the management to take note of this grave situation. The Admin office charges 1500/- for each transcript . In which they contributed nothing even the paper, photocopy that i purchased from my own , even there was no envelope over which the college seal has to be applied. I remember 10 years back this was never a situation but I feel really sad and sorry for the current state of affairs . may god help this college and it's administration.
However any current student reading this , please contact me , i have the template which you should ask from the college whenever you are graduating , this should be part of your relieving letter along with a certificate from the college that your medium of instruction was in english.
Please IM me if any current student need any help in this regard.

Ram Prakash Gupta :
I have transferred my first contribution thru Net Banking. I agree DK Sharma sir , the response from us is really lukewarm. The indifference of MITSians is pathetic. But I hope , slowly and steadily , more and more will join the cause. I think mass appeal from Agarwal sir and other active seniors may greatly help.

Rajendra Singh Yadav :
Dear Mitisian all of us are aware that Miss Kiriti saxena met with accident & she is admitted in Indian Spinal Injuries hospital Vasant Kunj New Delhi. I met yesterday to her & her family members at hospital and came to know that she not only got injuries on her head and leg but her back bone D - 12 has damaged, resulted in lower part ( waist downward) has paralyzed. As per doctors the chances of recovery is extremely remote, only a miracle can bring back her normal life. The family has already spent Rs 8 lac and further two more months they have to stay in the hospital. It is really a time to help her. Her a/c details have already been furnished on face book by mitisian Mr D K Sharma. It is really a time for all Mitisian to wake up for novel cause. It is not a time for big Jagran and slogans; it is really a time for concrete help.
I contributed my four days salary to the family.

Message from Mr. Madhu Sudan Roongta MITS-1968 [[email protected]]
Dear MITSian
You must be getting information from our colleague MITSian Mr Dinesh D K Sharma about Miss KIRTI SAXENA a student of Final Year Civil who has met with an accident (a sign board fell on her) and is hospitalized in Spine Injury Hospital at Basant Kunj, Delhi (Bed No 14 ).
Her father has already spend Rs 15 Lakh on her treatment but this is not sufficient – much more is needed. Her condition is critical.
It would be a great help - if each one of us voluntarily come forward to help a little bit ( say one day's salary or whatever possible ).

28/07/2012

I am sure by now majority of MITSians have learned about the serious injuries sustained by Kirti Saxena, (Final Year Student), hit by a falling hoarding. The medical attention rendered to her at Spine Clinic of Delhi, has kept all recovery hopes alive, but at a very unaffordable costs.
Let us look at the incidence first : was she at fault – definitely not, did it happen out of her mischief – certainly not; was she or any of her relatives or friends caused it – no; then why should she be the victim and sufferer? Will it be appropriate for us to remain mere spectator and fulfill our morality by few sympathetic words to a fellow MITSian? It could be any one – me, you, him, her and even get killed by such falling object.
Over the past six decades, MECO/MITS – the same four walls have linked tens of thousands of us together by an invisible but strong thread of becoming MITSians, and now is one of those situations when we have to prove it by all means.
Obviously the ongoing treatment for Kirti is highly expensive and of long term. She not only needs our prayers, but financial assistance is of utmost value and vital to keep going. Let us rise to the situation and contribute wholeheartedly not as a pity or sympathy but to maintain the strength of our solidarity. Giving below the details of Kirti’s bank account :

KIRTI SAXENA ([email protected])
SBI ACCT NO 30862344721
SWIFT CODE SBININBB427
IFSC CODE SBIN0000377
SBI MAIN BRANCH MAHARAJ BADA GWALIOR 474-001 MP.

Please make your generous contributions at the soonest, and make sure to write Kirti full particulars of the transfer so that her parents can track the funds. My sincere suggestion would be to contribute a minimum of your one day’s income or Rs. 500 whichever is more. MITS students can chose any amount. Also please copy the transfer information to [email protected] so that we can make your generosity known to the community.
