Students of the Faculty of Technology & Computer Applications (FTCA) — Siddhi Baluja, Harsh*t Singh, Gagandeep Singh, and Prerana Sharma (Team Beta Version) — have been recognized as the Best Performing Team and received the Pitch Excellence Award for their startup venture, IonWatch, at the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp – Edition 3, Phase 2 (2026), organized by AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC).
The team was selected for this prestigious national-level program and participated in a five-day intensive bootcamp at the designated nodal centre, SGT University, Gurgaon. During the program, they received expert mentorship and hands-on training focused on refining their startup pitch, understanding customer personas, validating market needs, and strengthening their business model.
The bootcamp also provided valuable exposure to incubation ecosystems through incubation centre visits and sessions on emerging technologies, including robotics, IoT, laser technologies, and 3D development. Industrial visits and interactions with industry experts further enhanced the team's understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship, and scalable venture development.
On the final day, Team Beta Version presented their startup, IonWatch, and emerged as one of the top-performing teams, securing the Winner’s Position, Best Performing Team recognition, and the Pitch Excellence Award for their outstanding venture presentation.
Adding to this remarkable achievement, their project has been recommended for incubation under ACIC with a proposed grant of ₹4 lakh, marking a significant milestone in their entrepreneurial journey. The incubation process is currently underway.
