The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized an insightful webinar in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association on the theme “IPR in Pharmacy: Protect and Prosper”. The session was conducted online via Google Meet and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.

The webinar was delivered by Dr. Samir Bhargava, Head of the IPR Cell at CIIES, DIT University, Dehradun. In his engaging session, he elaborated on the significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the pharmaceutical sector, emphasizing how patents, copyrights, and trademarks safeguard innovative ideas and research outcomes. He also highlighted the crucial role of IPR in fostering innovation, promoting research, and facilitating commercialization within the pharmaceutical industry.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Abhijeet Ojha (Principal FPS) and Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar Singh (HoD FPS). The webinar was effectively coordinated by Mrs. Pooja Joshi, Assistant Professor, FPS, ensuring its smooth ex*****on.

The Creativity Club of the Housekeeping Department, under the aegis of the Faculty of Hospitality Management organized an expert session on “Redefining Cleaning Technologies." The primary objective of the session was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial application, enabling students to gain specialized insights into modern professional cleaning protocols.

The session was conducted by distinguished technical experts from STAS Group, a reputed name in the professional cleaning and hygiene chemical industry since 1986. Their industry expertise brought practical exposure into the classroom, highlighting the scientific approach behind contemporary housekeeping operations.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from two prominent student clubs — the Creativity Club and the Gourmet Club. This interdisciplinary engagement enriched the learning experience by integrating technical housekeeping practices with the high standards required in hospitality operations.

Staying true to the Creativity Club’s focus on experiential learning, the session went beyond conventional lectures. Key highlights included detailed demonstrations on chemical composition, pH balance, and specific applications of various cleaning agents. Experts elaborated on handling delicate linen, protecting different metals, and selecting appropriate chemicals for diverse surfaces.

Students actively participated in identifying unknown stains on fabric samples and learned appropriate treatment techniques. They also gained practical knowledge about selecting suitable metal polishes, understanding dilution ratios, and applying cleaning agents effectively on simulated surface samples.

The session also addressed critical housekeeping challenges such as chemical safety, proper storage protocols, and the economic significance of using the correct cleaning products to prevent surface damage.

The session successfully achieved its intended objectives. Students gained direct, practical exposure to industry-standard products and methodologies, enhancing their ability to safely and effectively select and use cleaning agents for various materials.

The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance and patronage of Prof (Dr.) S. K. Singh (PVC AU and Dean FHM). Strategic direction and continuous support were also provided by Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Negi.

The Placement and Industry Interaction Cell organized a 5-day Python Training Program for B. Tech CSE and MCA pre-final year students.

The program was designed to build a strong foundation in Python programming and enhance students’ technical skills in line with current industry demands. Through interactive sessions, hands-on exercises, and mini-projects, students gained practical exposure and strengthened their understanding of core programming concepts.

The training was conducted by specialist trainer Mr. Deepak Sharma, who served as the resource person for the sessions and shared valuable knowledge and practical insights with the participants.

The Creativity Club, a flagship initiative of the Housekeeping Department at the Faculty of Hospitality Management, organized a workshop on Flower Arrangement for aspiring housekeeping professionals. The workshop provided valuable insights into various techniques and styles of flower arrangement.

The session was conducted by Mr. Sumit Joshi (Associate Professor and HoD Housekeeping), along with Mr. Ramashish Prajapati (Assistant Professor). They demonstrated a wide range of floral arrangement styles, enhancing students’ understanding of both traditional and contemporary practices.

Participants were introduced to Japanese styles such as Ikebana, Moribana, and Ukibana; traditional arrangements including circular, fan, Hogarth, and S-shaped designs; and modern styles like posy, flat, and all-round arrangements. The workshop also emphasized practical learning, where students engaged in hands-on activities by creating their own floral designs using a variety of flowers, foliage, and decorative accessories.

Additionally, the session covered the proper use of tools, equipment, vases, and other essential materials used in flower decoration. The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, fostering creativity and enhancing the practical skills of the participants.

The Faculty of Technical and Computer Applications, in collaboration with ICT Academy, successfully organized a Virtual Power Seminar on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence”. The session was delivered by Mr. Nishant Bhardwaj, Founder & AI Coach at Skillgorithm, who shared valuable insights into the practical applications, scope, and future opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

A total of 115 students from MCA, B.Tech, and BCA programs actively participated in the seminar, making it an engaging and interactive learning experience. The program was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, who also guided students regarding emerging career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence.

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Legal Aid and Awareness Committee organized an Essay Writing Competition aimed at promoting awareness about the invaluable contributions and visionary thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar in the legal, economic, and social spheres. His ideas continue to shape the development of the nation and inspire the youth towards responsible citizenship.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 21 students representing various faculties of the University, who thoughtfully expressed their perspectives on Dr. Ambedkar’s guiding principles and their enduring relevance in leadership, governance, and social justice.

The program was graced by Prof. Dr. R. Belwal as the Chief Guest, who emphasized the significance of the Indian Constitution in ensuring justice, equality, and dignity for all citizens. The Faculty of Commerce and Business Management organized an industrial visit to Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. (SIDCUL), Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, for the students of B.Com (Hons) 4th Semester and MBA 4th Semester.

The visit was facilitated by Ms. Garima Kargeti, HR Executive of the company. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into the various stages of biscuit manufacturing, quality control parameters, and HR practices followed at Parle Industries. They were also introduced to the nuances of production and operations management at the plant.

Students actively participated in interactive sessions with personnel from the production department, where their queries were addressed comprehensively, enhancing their practical understanding of industrial processes.
