The University marked EngineersтАЩ Day with the successful organization of тАЬSandhaan тАУ Tech Fest 2026тАЭ on September 15, 2026. The event provided students with an engaging platform to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity, innovation, analytical abilities, and teamwork through a series of competitions and activities.
The Tech Fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various departments of the university. A diverse range of competitions, including Project Model, Quiz, Coding, Graphic Designing, Web Development, and PPT Presentation, was organized as part of the celebrations. The activities were designed to encourage students to move beyond theoretical learning and apply their knowledge to practical challenges.
The Project Model Competition saw The Grey Matter (Mine Sync) secure the first position, while Algae-Based (OxyAlgae) and RCA Craft secured the second and third positions, respectively. In the Quiz Competition, Abhishek Verma emerged as the winner, followed by Shrishti Rawat in second place and Bhawna Kandpal in third place. Onshi Gaba secured the first position in the Coding Competition, with Rohan Gupta and Yash Upreti securing the second and third positions, respectively.
In the Graphic Designing Competition, Yuvraj Singh Rawat secured the first position, followed by Karan Dhauriyal and Sumit Adhikari. The Web Development Competition was won by the team of Nikhil Kanwal and Garima. The team comprising Dheeraj Khetwal, Mehakpreet, and Himanshu secured the second position, while Siddhi and Harsh*t Singh Thagunna secured the third position. In the PPT Presentation Competition, Jia Joshal secured the first position, followed by Anushka Kandpal in second place and Lalit Mohan Sanwal in third place.
The various activities were conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Shankar Prasad (Dean FTCA), Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Khare (HoD CSE) and Prof. (Dr.) M. K. Sharma (HoD CA). Deans, Principals, Directors, HoDs and other university officials were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Sanjay Dhingra (CEO AU), Ms. Bindu Chawla (Secretary AU), Mr. Mayank Dhingra (Joint Secretary AU), Prof. (Dr.) Dharm B**r Singh (VC AU) and Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Singh (PVC AU) congratulated the students and faculty members for their active participation and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team in making the event successful.
A special highlight of the EngineersтАЩ Day celebrations was the felicitation of distinguished alumni of the university. The alumni were recognized for their notable achievements and contributions in their respective fields. Their accomplishments were acknowledged as a source of pride for the university, while the importance of maintaining and strengthening the institutionтАЩs long-standing association with its alumni was also emphasized.
тАЬSandhaan тАУ Tech Fest 2026тАЭ served as an effective platform for experiential learning, enabling students to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. The competitions encouraged participants to think critically, work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and develop innovative approaches to problem-solving.
