Fruit Distribution at Regional Hospital, Hamirpur
On August 28, 2018 students of grade 6th A & B of Him Academy Public School distributed fruits among the patients at Regional Hospital, Hamirpur. This visit of the students was organized to enhance the spirit of service among the students under the ‘Service’ pillar of Round Square and ‘Care’ value of the SEVA(Student Empowerment through Value in Action) program of the school. Mrs. Sangeeta Thakur, Mrs. Reena Thakur along with Mrs. Suman directed all the students throughout the whole visit.

Mrs Naina Lakhanpal (Principal) and Mrs Sunita Sharma (Round Square Representative) of Him Academy Public School, Vikas Nagar attended the Annual Regional Meeting (South Asia and Gulf Region) at Chittagong Grammar School, Chittagong, Bangladesh from February 1, 2018 to February 3, 2018. All the eminent principals/Directors and Round Square Representatives of Round Square Schools of South Asia and Gulf Region were present at the meeting. During this meet annual events, Conferences, and updates were discussed.
A two days post Meeting Tour to Sylhet Tea Gardens was also arranged for the interested delegates. Thank you CGS for the wonderful arrangements and heartwarming hospitality!

Under MUN, Delegation Visit From Him Academy Public School To Sarla Birla Academy, Bangalore
16 members including 13 students and 3 teachers from HAPS were on a visit to Sarla Birla Academy, Bangalore from 23rd to 26th October, 2017. 10 different schools comprising of 145 students along with their respective teachers from all over India were on the same visit at same venue. There were four committees i.e. UNHRS, Indo-Pak, Economic Social and UNSC. Students were also distributed in above mentioned committees. Debate was also organized there in the Sarla Birla Academy. Students were supposed to exchange their personal views in the form of Debate over various based on the theme and issues on above mentioned committees.

17 delegates along with three teacher es**rt from Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar (HAPS) attended a three days Round Square Conference at Scindia Kanya Vidyalya, Gwaliar M.P from 9th-11th November,2017. 15 other schools also attended the conference at the same venue (SKV).The main theme of the conference was Venture, Equate and Evolve. Students of different schools were divided into six different groups for their Brazza meetings under their group leaders. Students were shown different types of motivational and theme based documentaries so that they can make themselves a good and creative member of this challenging world. Each participated school in the conference gave wonderful performances during cultural eve. Zumba performance by the students of HAPS mesmerized everyone in the hall during cultural eve. Hence the same was well applauded and appreciated by all other participants’ schools. Mrs. Nishi Mishra, Principal SKV, Gwaliar addressed all the delegates and stated that such conferences are the basic building blocks of all round development of a student. She also given away the mementoes as a token of memory and love for all the es**rt teacher participated in the conference.

International Understanding Development Programme at Him Academy Public School – Vikasnagar

Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar is always focuses to develop “International Understanding” among its’ students. Under ‘Internationalism’ pillar of Round Square, students of grade 10th were made aware about life style, personal hygiene and geographical conditions of Italy. A detailed comparative study of Italy and India were also told to students. Above mentioned students were made enlightened in detail about every aspect of Italy, through Power Point Presentation. Gymnasium High School Italy, an International partner of HAPS-VN is going to visit Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar for cultural exchange programme in the month of November, in which students of the Italy delegation will be made familiar about every cultural aspect of India. Students of Him Academy Public School, Vikasnagar are being made aware accordingly so that they can also understand each and every aspect of Italy. Initiation to help the needy People
It was a great initiation of grade 6th students of HAPS –Vikas Nagar when they visited Regional Hospital Hamirpur with great zeal. Students distributed fruits in three wards.
Patients were very happy to see the generosity and helping nature of the students .All patients blessed students and students have also asked about their illness and wished for their soon recovery.

Tree Plantation Programme
Tree plantation programme under the environment pillar of Round Square was held in HAPS Vikas Nagar on 10th August 2017. Various types of plants (Tulsi, Neem, Amla, Chandan, Lemon, Sagwaan, Touch me not etc.) were planted in the school premises by the students of XI (Medical). School’s Chairman, Director, Principal also planted saplings to mark the event.
Tree planting event connected the students to the benefits of trees and fostered environmental sensitivity in them. It also brought them closer to the environment.

‘SEVA Initiative by HAPS’
Under Service Section of Round Square Him Academy School Staff and students displayed a great sense of responsibility for society, when they helped the natives of Sarad Bammi near Kaloha village, Distt. Kangra (H.P.) as the village suffered with a cloud burst thus leading to large scale destruction to their houses and property. The native faced a sudden flash flood which led to the lot of damage to their village. Two hundred students of HAPS contributed actively for helping out the village by clearing their houses which were smeared with mud and stones. Hundred students of NSS and another 100 of IAYP and Round Square alongwith staff members took a great initiative to show helping hand for the natives. The entire school management also contributed actively to the cause. They praised the staff and students for this act of humanity. The villagers also applauded the school’s contribution for helping them to come out of natural calamity. The volunteers of NSS helped the native to clear the debries and bring out the things hidden under debri. The NSS unit of HAPS Hamirpur under Mr. Ashwani Sharma who is also an award winner for social services have been working for such cause earlier also as they helped in distinguishing summer fire and preparing one kilometer road for a village in the previous year and he said that the NSS unit is ever ready for such disaster rescues under short notices.The whole rescue operation was completed under the supervision of Malok Singh SDM Dehra, S.S. Pathania Tehsildar Rakkad, Promila Dhiman Nayab Tehsildar Rakkad.

Mock Model United Nations (MUN) Conference on June 12, 2017
A group of thirty-two students from classes 9th and 10th participated in Mock MUN Conference held on Monday in the school auditorium. MUN is a chance to develop to public speaking and teamwork skills in a stimulation of what goes on at the actual United Nations. The theme of the conference was ‘Sustainable Development’ goals and current global affairs. The students delegates were notified in advance about the topic so that they could conduct general research on the agenda under consideration before the session students were also assigned countries they would be representing at the conference. Participants took on the role of diplomats representing the different member UN member states, debating current global issues, drafting resolutions voting and passing resolutions. This conference was a great success and all participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience and showcased their diplomatic skills and came up with workable solutions.
