In celebration of All India Radio (AIR) 90th anniversary, Akashavani Hassan organized a vibrant outreach programme titled โ€œAkashavani Towards the Youthโ€ (Yuvajanaratta Akashavani Chitta) at St. Joseph's College, Hassan. The initiative aimed to connect with young audiences and highlight the enduring relevance of radio in todayโ€™s digital age.

The programme featured an engaging quiz conducted by Mr. Shanmugam of Akashavani Hassan. Ms. Sujatha F. Talawar of All India Radio emphasized the vital role radio continues to play in everyday life, especially as a reliable and accessible medium of information and entertainment.

The Department of BCA at St. Joseph's College, Hassan organized a two-day Hands-on Workshop on MERN Stack technologies including MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. The workshop aimed at equipping students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills in modern web development.

The sessions were conducted by Dr. Sreenivasa B.L., Associate Professor, School of Information Technology, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore. He was assisted by Mr. Vellon Moraes from the Department of MSc Big Data Analytics, along with Mr. Ash*th Joswa Fernandes, Ms. Carol Pinto, and Ms. Rashmitha Maria Dsouza from the Department of MSc IT.

The final year students of St. Joseph's College, Hassan were provided with internships in various places. The students not only sought internships in Hassan but also travelled to faraway places like Bangalore, Mangalore, and Mysore. The Red Cross Unit of St. Joseph's College, Hassan organized a Blood Donation Camp to promote humanitarian values and encourage a spirit of compassion and selflessness among students. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Maxim Dias SJ, Principal, who led by example by donating blood.
A total of 54 students voluntarily contributed to the noble cause. The camp was conducted in coordination with Dr. Nagalakshmi, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan, along with a dedicated team of doctors and nurses.
