Swachh Pledge
“Mahatma Gandhi dreamt of an India which was not only free but also clean and developed.
Mahatma Gandhi secured freedom for Mother India.
Now it is our duty to serve Mother India by keeping the country neat and clean.
I take this pledge that I will remain committed towards cleanliness and devote time for this.
I will devote 100 hours per year, that is two hours per week, to voluntarily work for cleanliness.
I will neither litter not let others litter.
I will initiate the quest for cleanliness with myself, my family, my locality, my village and my work place.
I believe that the countries of the world that appear clean are so because their citizens don't indulge in littering nor do they allow it to happen.
With this firm belief, I will propagate the message of Swachh Bharat Mission in villages and towns.
I will encourage 100 other persons to take this pledge which I am taking today.
I will endeavour to make them devote their 100 hours for cleanliness.
I am confident that every step I take towards cleanliness will help in making my country clean.”

Indoor Activity : Musical Chairs
Colleges are not just about academics; they are also about creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of camaraderie among students. One such memorable indoor activity at Rayat Bahra Institute of Management was the recently organized Musical Chairs event.
The activity was well organized under the able guidance of director principal Dr.Harinder Singh Gill and Ms.Satinderpreet kaur (HOD Computer Applications) along with activity coordinator Mr.Danish and BCA 1st semester students on 08 September 2023.
It was an event filled with laughter, excitement, and a touch of friendly competition that brought students together to unwind from their academic routines.
Setting the Stage: The Musical Chairs event took place in the college's spacious indoor seminar hall, which provided the perfect setting for this classic game. Rows of chairs were arranged in a row, with enough chairs for all participants, ensuring a fair and entertaining competition.
Rules and Participants: The event was open to all students, and participation was voluntary. It attracted a diverse group of students from various disciplines and backgrounds, which added to the fun and inclusivity of the activity. Before the game began, the rules were explained to all participants:
1. Chairs were arranged in a row, with one less chair than the number of participants.
2. Music was played as participants walked around the chairs in a clockwise direction.
3. When the music stopped, participants had to quickly find a chair to sit in.
4. The participant left standing without a chair after each round was eliminated.
5. The game continued until only one participant remained.
Friendly Competition and Team Spirit: What made this Musical Chairs event special was the sense of camaraderie and friendly competition it fostered. As the music played and the participants circled the chairs, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Students cheered for their friends and classmates, creating an electric atmosphere that transcended the competitive nature of the game.
Elimination Rounds: As the game progressed, the rounds became more intense, with fewer chairs available. The tension in the room increased as participants strategized, trying to secure a chair when the music abruptly stopped. The eliminated participants, while out of the game, remained engaged, cheering on their peers and adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
The Final Showdown: After several rounds of eliminations, the Musical Chairs event reached its climax with the final showdown. The remaining participants demonstrated agility and quick thinking as they vied for the last remaining chair. The cheers and applause from the audience echoed through the seminar hall as the winner emerged triumphant.
The student enjoyed the activity to their fullest.
