About SMSR
School of Management Studies and Research (SMSR) saw it’s humble beginning in the year 2008, as a department of the BVBCET, Hubli. The school was autonomous (VTU) since inception and offered dual specializations. The success of autonomy BVBCET stepped forward to become a deemed university named as KLE Technological University in 2015 and SMSR is also part of it. BVBCET being pioneer in
the Outcome Based Education, SMSR also started to adopt Outcome Based Education in 2012. In the journey of 8 years of it’s operation with a philosophy of Work hard, Have fun and Make a difference, school is constantly evolving it’s MBA programme through dynamic curriculum, delivery and assessment. The main focus is on experiential learning and is being emphasized through unique initiatives like Student, Institution & Industry Track and Rural Immersion. SMSR was also the first B-School in the country to offer Microsoft dynamics NAV certification. SMSR is also a recognized research center under VTU for doctorate programmes. The delivery of the courses is through different modes like lectures, discussions, field study, course projects etc. The students are assessed on a continuous basis. The student information system is in place and can be accessed remotely. There is an ample scope for students to participate in curricular, co-curricular and sports events on campus and outside.
