The idea of establishing an educationl society with noble ideals, kindled by the words “Only education emancipates man from all sorts of earthly and cosmic bondages”, (saa Vidya yaa vimuktaye) was materialized in 1982 we resolved to impart qualitative Education to the young to strengthen them in all aspects so that they could compete with The ever changing academic, social and ethical conditions,
and our sole aim is to revivify the deteriorating morals, honesty and discipline. THE ORIGIN OF THE COLLEGE:
The undiminishing desire to spread modern and technical education of great quality made us ardent to establish The Noble Group of Modern Institution. Subsequently, a Noble High School, and a jr.College in 1982, Noble Degee College in 1991, and Noble P.G. College in 1992 sprouted up wherein the girls and boys learn together. Life in teens and just on the wrong side of it obviously seems deceptive and mischievous. If the young are not judicious enough, they may end up their three complete years in degree without gaining any fruit. We are quite optimistic that the students be strengthened, Especially morally to face the unforeseen challenges in the flow of life at Vivekananda Degge College, Kukatpally, which is thus named after a great ascetic Vivekananda, who rocked entire world with his austerity and ever inspiring sayings which still echo in the deep corners of hearts of the people. We opine in an area like Kukatpally a College with noble ideals is mandatory. Hence, our Vivekananda Degage College shall be the topnotch in the filed of learning. Vivekananda Degree College was established in 2004 and is affiliated to Osmania University. The campus is located in the heart of the city and is about 5 km from Secunderabad Railway Station and 7km from Central Bus Stand. The college has started with 4 groups when established and runs several degree courses in Computer Science, Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS:
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/Muslim Minority &EBC students can apply for Scholarships as per Government directives. Such Candidates have apply in the prescribed Application form which will be duly forwarded by the college office to the authorities concerned for necessary action. 3. Caste/Community certificate form the competent authority. EXTRA CURRICULAR & CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
The college has one NSS unit with an enrolment of 100volunteers under the guidance of a programmed officer, chosen from the teaching staff. Ours is one of the very few self-financed colleges selected by the University for NSS unit and also having NCC unit. The college gives considerable importance to extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, since these would provide a platform for the students to realize their innate potential as also bring out the leadership qualities in them. As more and more organization offering jobs, so today they are preferring Students with well rounded personalities instead of mere academic achievers, Vivekananda encourages his students to conceive, plan organize and keenly participate in various programmes as outlined below.
1. Every Saturday afternoon one or more of activities such as quiz, debate, elocution, dance, Painting, rangoli, mimicry, anthakshari, vocal and instrumental music are organized by staff and student. The principal takes personal care to ensure that everyone participates in these activities seriously and with active involvement.
2. Lecturing by eminent professors from Osmania and other University, seminars and group Discussions are also organized on a regular basis.
3. Self government day is also organized as a regular feature of the college. Students are Assigned topics well in advance and are required to play the role of their teachers on a serious note.
4. Students also celebrate “Gurupujothsavam” on a regular basis every year, where in Eminent teachers are facilitated. LOCATION OF VIVEKANANDA DEGEE COLLEGE:
The serendipitous outlook of the college has been glorified by the presence of a silent lake right in front of it. The chirpy songs of the birds around and the peals of the ripple shall provide an absolute bliss to the students. The two storied building of Vivekananda Degree College admeasuring about 30,000 sft has an enormous play ground for Volleyball, Shuttle Badminton and other sports. It stretches about 2acres of land

This lab gives clear picture of the theoretical work to implement on accounting procedure in a practical way. This has adequate number of computers with different accounting problems with new technology. ENGLISH LAB:
The English lab is provided with advanced computer systems, ear phones and multimedia kit. It is very useful to improve communication skills in English for the students. THE LIBRARY:
The library has a rich collection of books and periodicals, including latest publications in computer science and other subjects. The current stock of more than 10,000 books includes both foreign and Indian publications, journals on computer Education and Bio Sciences.
