In their words:
"Techfest is IIT Bombay's annual science and technology festival, which has been creating a visual spectacle year after year. It is today well established as Asia's Largest Science and Technology festival patronised by UNESCO, UNICEF and SAYEN with a footfall of more than 165,000 people comprising mainly of the youth from across the nation and an outreach of over 2,500 colleges across India and over 500 overseas. We are the most followed college festival on social media with more than 380k Facebook likes & 100k+ twitter impressions. The dates for this edition have been decided as 16th-18th, December 2016.
Apart from the technical activities that we organise, we also promote activities that foster individual growth by conducting events for the intellectual students. Recognising the importance of getting young men and women involved in the policy changes that affect their world, Techfest calls forth students with different perspectives and a host of different ideas to the Techfest World MUN, IIT Bombay. Over the years Techfest International Model United Nations (TIMUN) proved itself to be one of the largest MUN in India. TIMUN 2014 was a very successful event and memorable to all the 300+ hundred delegates from more than 20 countries including Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Egypt, Sri Lanka and many more
We reintroduce TIMUN under it’s new name as the Techfest World MUN to be held from 16th-18th December 2016 on a scale never seen before. Some of our previous sponsors who have supported us in our endeavour are British Council, Imagine Canada, consulate of Israel, SwissNex, Alliance Francaise, Campus France, DAAD.
