A proud moment at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, as the newly constituted Student Council formally took charge during the Investiture Ceremony 2026–27.

Sincere gratitude to Prof. Rajanikanth Aluvalu, Director, SIT Hyderabad, for his continued vision and encouragement, and to all Heads of Departments Dr. Suryanarayana Goddumarri, Dr Kranthi Kumar Singamaneni SMIEEE, Dr. Akash Sharma and faculty members for their constant support towards student development.

Special appreciation to Dr. Ausif Padder, present Head – Student Affairs, for his valuable guidance and contribution to student activities.

Congratulations to Mr. Tanishq Singh Sisodiya!

We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Mr. Tanishq Singh Sisodiya, 2nd Year, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, on being selected as one of the winners of the prestigious IES SYPA Travel Award.

Travel Grant: USD 1,500
His research paper, titled:
“An Air-Gapped Neuro-Symbolic Framework for Autonomous Root Cause Analysis in Commercial Chillers”
has been selected for presentation at IECON 2026, the 52nd Annual Flagship Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, to be held from 18–21 October 2026 in Doha, Qatar.

The submission received top scores from the reviewers, recognizing the outstanding quality and contribution of the research.

This achievement reflects Tanishq dedication to research, innovation, and emerging technologies, and highlights the growing culture of student-led research and innovation at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.

We are delighted to celebrate the selection of Mr. Peken Sora, First-Year student from the Department of CSE (AIML), Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Hyderabad, for the AI Boot Camp & Hackathon.

This opportunity is being undertaken under the initiative of the Department of IT & Communication, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with NIT Arunachal Pradesh and IIT Guwahati, as part of the proposed Centre of Excellence on Artificial Intelligence (AI-CoE) initiative.

The programme provides an exciting platform for young innovators to learn, innovate, build, and apply Artificial Intelligence to real-world challenges.

Students of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, including our first-year students, participated in AWS Builder Center: Future Builders Connect, gaining early exposure to the world of cloud, AI, DevOps, emerging technologies, and industry-driven learning.

The event gave our students an opportunity to learn from experts, understand real-world technology trends, interact with fellow learners, and explore future career pathways. For our first-year students especially, experiences like these help build curiosity, confidence, and a stronger connection between classroom learning and the technology ecosystem from the very beginning of their engineering journey.

At SIT Hyderabad, we believe that career readiness starts early. Through the Training & Placement Cell, we continue to encourage students across all years to participate in industry events, technical communities, workshops, and experiential learning opportunities.

14 Global Universities, One Campus: SIT Hyderabad Hosts International Delegates

Today was an exciting day at SIT Hyderabad, as we welcomed representatives from 14 leading international universities and institutions across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and the Netherlands for conversations around global academic collaboration.

The visiting delegates had a productive interaction with the Director, SIT Hyderabad, exploring a wide range of possibilities including:

Semester and student exchange programmes
International internships and experiential learning
Joint research and academic collaborations
Faculty mobility and exchange
Opportunities for long-term institutional partnerships

The discussions helped identify several promising pathways for future engagement with each of the participating universities.

It was also wonderful to have the Directors of SLSH and SIBMH, and the Deputy Director, contribute to the conversations, bringing valuable interdisciplinary perspectives and further strengthening the possibilities for collaboration across institutions.

We were privileged to interact with representatives from:

Binghamton University | California Baptist University | Carnegie Mellon University | George Washington University | Old Dominion University | University of Essex | University of Groningen | The University of Texas at Arlington | Indiana University Bloomington | Schulich School of Business | University of Missouri–St. Louis | Daniels College of Business, University of Denver | Baylor University, along with WES Global Credential Evaluation.

Such conversations are important steps towards creating meaningful global opportunities for our students and faculty — and towards building academic partnerships that extend beyond geographical boundaries.

Looking forward to seeing these conversations evolve into impactful collaborations in education, research, mobility, and innovation.
