Timme Trivia, the general quiz was coordinated by Anjali Sharma ( MA 2nd yr). The quiz was outsourced to be organized by the “Q” Company. A total of 60 students participated in the quiz from various departments and schools of the University.
A total of three rounds were conducted.

The Wealth of Nations:
The Wealth of Nations was organized on the second day of the Economics conclave in Zakir Hussain Lecture Hall Complex. The event was coordinated by Muskan Agrawal, Arundhati and Rajesh Palia. The Wealth of Nations was a team game in which the participants were divided into two teams where each team represented a country.
All the participants played the game enthusiastically and reported that they enjoyed applying economic theory in the form of a game.

The Young Economist

The Young Economist was organised on the first day of the Economics Conclave 2019 in the C.V. Raman Auditorium at 3:00PM.
Round 1:
The first round of the Young Economist was MCQ Round, where there were 40 questions related to the field of economics. There were a total of 24 participants of which the top 10 progressed to the second round. This round was conducted by:

Round 2:
The second round was a Pictionary round. A set of 5 slides of pictures were shown to the participants to be interpreted. The slides mainly portrayed a story/ theory related to the fields of economics. The top 4 participants progressed to the final round.

Round 3:
The final round was the interview round. Dr. Raja Sethu Durai was the interviewer of this round.

Rahul A Nair was declared the winner of The Young Economist 2019 with the highest points.

The annual symposium of the School of Economics, The Economics Conclave 2019 kicked off on 13th September 2019. The inauguration session was held at Savitribai Phule Auditorium. The Inaugural Address by Ms. Karuna Gopal, President Foundation for Futuristic Cities, MRICS I UK, IVLP Fellow ( US Dept. Of State), John Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. The Economics Conclave started with the Urban Economics sphere.

The latter half of the inaugural session had some distinguished invited lectures.
1. “ Funding the Entrepreneurial Dream” by Ajay Rawul, Principal Consultant, Management Consulting Group.
2. “ Need for Prioritising Mental Health for National Development” by Prof. Meena Hariharan, Head, Center for Health Psychology, University of Hyderabad.
3. “ Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Ethics” by Dr. Sudhakar Babu, Associate Professor, Human Resource Development Centre, Hyderabad.

EVENT POSTPONED.
