College of Nursing, Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat, Imphal College of Nursing, Medical Directorate, Govt. of Manipur, is located at Lamphelpat in Imphal West D College of Nursing (CON) is the first Govt.

nursing college in Manipur state. It was upgraded from the School of GNM, Medical Directorate, Govt. of Manipur in the year 2012. The School of GNM, Medical Directorate, Govt. of Manipur was sepatated from the erstwhile School of GNM & ANM, situated at the present Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Campus, Imphal during the year 2001. The school was at the RIMS Campus upto the year 2006

and shifted to the present campus at Medical Directorate, Lamphelpat since then. The present buildings of this College were constructed under the sponsorship of the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong and Govt, of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and are in active progress. The Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and Manipur Nursing Council (MNC), Imphal had given permission for starting the B.Sc. Nursing programme at this College with an intake capacity of 40 students from the academic year 2012-2013. Manipur University, Canchipur had granted temporary affiliation and opening of the B.Sc. Nursing 1st year course with effect from the academic session 2012-2013.

The farewell ceremony of Prof. Kumudini Devi held on December 30, 2020. Prof. Kumudini started her career as a Sister Tutor in 1978 and had a service record of 42 years. Prof. Kumudini and her team took a pivotal role in the upgradation of the School of GNM, Medical Directorate to College of Nursing, Medical Directorate (CONMD). In 2012, she became the first principal of CONMD and held the position till her retirement on October 31st, 2020. Under her able leadership, CONMD became an elite institute in the nation producing toppers in BSc Nursing and MSc nursing. Release of 3rd edition of the Shirui Lily Magazine!

The first Institutional Ethics Committee Meeting of the Lamphelpat held on 24th June 2020 with Dr. K. Rajo Singh, Director of Health Services, Government of Manipur, as Chairperson of the Committee. On this occasion, Dr. Rajo Singh released the third edition of the Shirui Lily Magzine 2019-20.
Prof. M. Kumudini Devi, Principal, ; Dr. L. Somorendra Singh, Dy. Director (Trg.) and Kh. Babulinda Singh, Legal Officer of the Medical Directorate were also present during the release of the magazine.
