Golden Era of SAA -Last 6 years journey with Alumni Association 2 years as EC member and 4 years as Dr. Girish Gupta

Dear Alumni,
I started my journey with the Alumni Association in 2020 as an Executive Committee member and served as Hon. Secretary from 2022-2026
This term will be remembered as the Golden Era of the Alumni Association. The projects undertaken have easily outnumbered those during the entire previous twenty-year history of our Association.
During my tenure, I worked across all major areas for the betterment of our Institute, SGSITS, including Infrastructure support/Up-gradation of Labs, improvement of hostel facilities, enhancement of sports facilities, and support for various Co-Curricular Activities of the students.
Some of the projects /major events/activities tenure
undertaken during my tenure as Hon. Secretary are –
1. Upgradation of Electrical Engineering Department Lab
2. Developed Embedded Systems & IOT lab. ( Electronics & Telecommunication Department )
3. Upgradation of Biomedical Dept Lab.
4. Upgradation of Industrial & Production Eng. Department Lab
5. Upgradation of Chemistry Lab.
6. Upgradation of Electronics & Instrumentation Department lab
7.Developed CAD & Graphics Lab(Mechanical Deptt.)
8. Established a computer lab at the IT Department.
9. Upgradation of CEAMD Lab. ( Civil Department)
10. Started a Computer centre at the girls' hostel
11. Office Renovation for a better experience for visiting Alumni
12.. Installed Water purifiers at the girls' hostel
13. Water Purification System with Water Cooler near Golden Jubilee Hall, Oct 2024
14. Boys Hostel Water Purification System -Oct 2024
15. Development of an Information Centre for students/Institute
16. Provided Instruments to the Khitiz (Music) Club of the Institute
17. Installed Direction maps at 4 prominent locations in the college
18. Volleyball court (first turf court in any Engineering College in MP
19. 2- Pickleball Courts developed.
20.Organised the first-ever graduation ceremony at SGSITS for the 2023 batch
21.Platinum Jubilee Celebrations: Two-day Mega Event with Marathon, Dr Kumar Vishwas Night, Expert panel discussions with Prominent Alumni from different fields & Felicitation of Distinguished Alumni.
22.The Platinum Jubilee Finale 71st Foundation Day of the institute was celebrated with a cultural event, sporting activities for students and alumni, facilitation of distinguished alumni, and Shailesh Lodha Night.
23.72nd SGSITS Annual Alumni Day / Foundation Day Zumba + Marathon.
24.Family Connect Activity. Cultural Activities and formal event in the presence of Hon. Minister for Deptt. of Higher Education, Mr Inder Singh Ji Parmar.
25.73rd SGSITS/Foundation Day Umang 2025, celebrated with a Carnival theme
26.Award ceremony for overall branch topper.
27.Supported Kai Po Che (Cultural event) organised by Khitiz (Music) club.
28.Supported SAE Collegiate club in making an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle).
29.Orientation Program for 1st-year students.
30.80-G & CSR approvals obtained for benefits to the association's donors.
31.Online, UPI payments are activated for the ease of members
Alumni Association Website Relaunch
32.Formation of the Alumni Student Club, which is very helpful in interaction and feedback from students
33.Internship/Job feature added for posting by Alumni employers on the Association website.
34. Arranged Financial Assistance for needy students.
35. Orientation Program for Post Graduate Students.
36.Supported team GS Racers14.
37.Induction of UG students.
38. Encouraged get-togethers of Sekserians in the USA, Singapore, Pune, Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru, Jabalpur, etc
39. A series of Webinars organised for students and Alumni.
40.Supported Graffathon, a 24-hour painting event held by Pratibimb (Arts & Photography club).
