ICONAT 2026 brought researchers and innovators together in Goa for two days of ideas, dialogue and collaboration. Keynote addresses by our distinguished international guests—Dr. Derrick I-Hsien Ting from Taiwan, Mr. Tomio Isogai from Japan and Dr.-Ing. Sandeep P. Patil from Germany—offered valuable perspectives on technology and global partnerships.

Dr. P. V. Kadole, Director of RIT, welcomed the guests and encouraged meaningful exchange among researchers from around the world.

🌍 ICONAT 2026 | Connecting Cultures for Advancement in Technology 💡

Two days of research, ideas and global collaboration in Goa! The Department of Information Technology at Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Rajaramnagar, successfully hosted the 5th International Conference on Advancement in Technology (ICONAT 2026) on 21–22 September at the International Centre Goa, Dona Paula.

Technically co-sponsored by IEEE Maharashtra Section, the conference brought together researchers, academicians, industry experts and students through online and offline technical sessions.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Derrick I-Hsien Ting as Chief Guest, Mr. Tomio Isogai as Guest of Honour, and Dr.-Ing. Sandeep P. Patil as Esteemed Guest. Their talks sparked conversations on AI and social networks, navigating a VUCA world, and advanced materials.

The conference was coordinated by Dr. Amol C. Adamuthe, Convener, and Prof. M. N. Mulla, Organizing Secretary, with the organizing team, under the guidance of Shri Bhagatsinh Patil, Prof. R. D. Sawant and Dr. P. V. Kadole.

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, RIT, Rajaramnagar, successfully inaugurated the Microchip–EduSkills Center for Embedded Systems on 10th September 2026 Thursday ,in association with Microchip Technology and EduSkills, Bangalore.

🌟 In the presence of Hon. Shri Shamrao Patil, Hon. Shri R. D. Sawant, Dr. P. V. Kadole, Director, RIT, Dr. M. S. Patil, HoD, E&TC, and Dr. A. B. Kakade, Dean R&D, RIT, Prof.M.N. Mulla Head T&P.

🌟 The inaguration was graced by Mr. Avinash Talreja, Deputy General Manager – Talent Attraction, Schneider Electric, Mumbai, as the Chief Guest.
The Centre of Excellence will provide students with hands-on learning, industry-oriented projects, Embedded Systems, Firmware, IoT, and innovation opportunities, strengthening industry–academia collaboration.

🌟 Inspiring Young Minds Through Innovation! 🚀
The Department of Management Studies, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Rajaramnagar, successfully conducted an Outreach Activity on Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) on 13 August 2026 for the girl students of New English School for Girls, Ashta.

The programme introduced students to the exciting world of innovation, technology, and practical learning, with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities involving sensors and Arduino. The enthusiastic participation of the students reflected their curiosity and eagerness to explore STEM.

✨ The activity aimed to:

Foster interest in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)
Provide practical exposure to modern technologies
Develop creativity, curiosity and problem-solving skills
Encourage students to explore technology-based education and careers
The session, facilitated by Dr. Manisha L. Waghmode, created an engaging learning experience and encouraged the young participants to envision themselves as future innovators, problem-solvers and entrepreneurs.

⚡ Bridging Classroom Learning with Real-World Power Systems! ⚡

🔌 The Department of Electrical Engineering, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), organized an industrial visit to State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC), Kalwa, Mumbai for Final Year B.Tech. Electrical Engineering students.

🎓 The visit provided valuable hands-on exposure to real-time power-grid monitoring, SCADA & EMS, load-generation balancing, scheduling and dispatch, frequency control, contingency management, and renewable energy integration.

💡 An enriching learning experience that connected theory with industrial practices and offered students valuable insights into the real-time operation and control of Maharashtra’s power grid. ⚙️⚡
