The Indian Institute of Information Technology-Design and Manufacturing, was established in year 2005 by the Government of India under the Indian Societies Registration Act, for imparting skills to engineering students who can use IT in the field of Design and Manufacturing. Primary goal of the institute is to educate and train engineers who are dealing with design and manufacturing of engineering

goods. The task of incubation has been entrusted on Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). The Director, Faculty and Staff members of IIT Kanpur worked together to achieve the goal. Commonly known as IIITDM Jabalpur is a part of league of 4 Indian Institutes of Information Technology funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) along with Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kanchipuram. It has been accorded the status of "Deemed University" in 2009 and "Institute of National Importance" in 2014 by the Government of India, thus having autonomy to frame courses and curriculum.

We are delighted to share a proud achievement of the Electronics and Robotics Society (ERS) at IIITDM Jabalpur 🎉

Teams from ERS have secured 🥇 1st Place and 🥈 Second Runner-Up at Aavahan, the techfest of SRG (Shri Ram Group Jabalpur), in the highly competitive RoboRace event.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that both teams were composed entirely of first-year students, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and dedication at such an early stage.

We are delighted to share a proud achievement of our students at Techkriti, the annual technical festival of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

A team from the Electronics and Robotics Society (ERS), IIITDM Jabalpur, secured the Second Runner-Up position in the “Manoeuvre” competition under ROBOGAMES.

The event challenged participants to design and build a four-wheeled gripper robot capable of navigating diverse terrains and executing precision-based tasks like object handling. Our team showcased exceptional technical skills, teamwork, and innovation, completing all tasks within the stipulated time with an outstanding score.

We are delighted to share that a team from the Electronics and Robotics Society (ERS) has secured 🥇 1st Place at IARC during Techkriti, the annual tech fest of IIT Kanpur.

This remarkable achievement reflects the innovation, teamwork, and dedication of our talented students. 💡🤖

The competition focused on designing and building an autonomous robot from scratch, evaluated on maze-solving capabilities, precision in design and fabrication, and intelligent use of sensors and coding. 🎉 HackByte 4.0 Concludes on a High Note! 🚀

PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur proudly celebrates the grand success of HackByte 4.0, the institute’s flagship annual hackathon, held on April 5, 2025. This fourth edition marked a significant milestone with record-breaking registrations, an expanded prize pool, and enthusiastic participation from across the country.

Over an exhilarating 36-hour coding marathon, participants pushed the boundaries of innovation, transforming ideas into impactful solutions. HackByte 4.0 went beyond just development — it provided a dynamic learning platform where participants interacted with mentors from leading organizations such as Microsoft, Adobe, and Amazon, gaining valuable industry insights and real-world exposure.

💡 Workshops & Learning Opportunities
Hands-on workshops on cutting-edge tools like GitHub Copilot and Google AI Studio enabled participants to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of Generative AI and modern development practices.

🎯 Engagement Beyond Coding
To keep the energy high throughout the night, fun and interactive mini-games like Aimlabs, Blind Type, and Housie were organized, fostering a lively and competitive spirit among participants. We are delighted to share that Mr. Sahil Kumar, an M.Tech student, working under the joint supervision of Dr. Trivesh Kumar and Dr. Koushik Dutta, has been awarded the Best Paper Award under Track 4: Green Electronics, VLSI, Communication and Sensor-based Technologies at the 4th IEEE International Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IEEE IATMSI 2026).

The conference was hosted by ABV-IIITM Gwalior, India, during March 12–14, 2026.

The award-winning paper titled “A Step-by-Step Tuning of Mathematical Parameters (Verilog-A) for Double Loop Behavior of RRAM Device Modeling” highlights significant contributions in advanced device modeling and emerging electronics research.

We are proud to share that a team from the CAD & 3D Printing Club, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, represented the institute at Technex’26, hosted by Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), and secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the event “Sim-u-later.”

The competition challenged participants to design, analyze, and validate a constant-temperature plate capable of maintaining uniform surface temperature under varying thermal loads. The team demonstrated exceptional expertise through CAD modelling, thermal analysis, analytical derivations, and computational validation—showcasing strong fundamentals in heat transfer and engineering design.

📡 Faculty Development Programme on 5G & B5G Wireless Technologies with Simulations and Hands-on Training

The Electronics & ICT Academy at PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur, supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, is organizing an online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “5G & B5G Wireless Technologies with Simulations and Hands-on Training” from March 14–21, 2026.

5G & B5G Wireless Technologies …

This programme aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of emerging wireless technologies, covering topics such as 5G standards, NOMA, intelligent reflective surfaces (IRS), semantic communication, visible light communication, and physical layer security. The FDP will also feature hands-on sessions using MATLAB and LabVIEW, enabling participants to design, simulate, and evaluate modern wireless communication systems.
