✨ Building a stronger future for India's craft sector through collaboration and convergence.
The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) organized a One-Day Cross-Functional Convergence Workshop at Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD), Jaipur on 29 May 2026 with the objective of bringing together key stakeholders from the crafts ecosystem to develop a holistic and integrated development roadmap for the sector.
The workshop witnessed active participation from representatives of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), IICD, Poornima University, RAJSICO, Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Development Council (RUDA), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Weavers' Service Centre, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and other institutions committed to artisan welfare and craft development.
The meeting was convened by Virendra Sharma, fostering meaningful discussions on collaboration, innovation, market access, skill development, sustainability, and strengthening support systems for artisans.
