The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. It provides students in technical degrees (primarily Science, Engineering and the Applied Arts with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term proje

cts. With over 86 countries involved and exchanging over 4000 traineeships each year worldwide, it is the largest organisation of its kind in the world. The Association was founded in January 1948 at Imperial College, London, where representatives from ten European countries agreed on the initiative. The geographical coverage soon spread to include exchange in over 80 countries on all continents, and IAESTE became a registered body according to Luxembourg law in 2005. Since its inception, IAESTE has exchanged more than 350,000 students worldwide, playing a key role in the development of young engineers and scientists.

IAESTE has always been about connecting students from our campus to the world, and this was just another beginning.

Some opportunities begin with a simple conversation at a stall. Others begin with the decision to dream beyond borders. 🌍✨

It’s been a few weeks since the IAESTE Membership Drive, but the energy, conversations, and excitement from those days still feel fresh.

From curious first-years asking about international internships to students imagining themselves working across the world someday, every interaction reminded us why IAESTE exists in the first place: to connect ambitious young minds from our campus to opportunities across the globe. ✈️

Over the years, countless students have taken this first step with IAESTE, and gone on to work, learn, and grow in countries they once only dreamed about. And every membership drive becomes the starting point of another set of journeys waiting to happen.

What made these days special wasn’t just the registrations or the crowd around the stall. It was the excitement in people’s eyes, the questions, the curiosity, the laughter, and the possibility of “what if this could be me next?” 💙

To everyone who stopped by, interacted with us, and became a part of the experience, thank you for making it memorable.

Because at IAESTE, we don’t just offer internships.

Honouring the people who make global exchange feel like home. 🌍✨

Last year, we had the privilege of hosting 20 international interns from 13 countries across 4 continents, taking our total incoming exchanges to a proud 129.

But behind every successful exchange is a team that makes it possible.

This Felicitation Ceremony celebrated our Faculty Supervisors, the mentors who guided interns academically, and our Summer Reception Officers (SROs), the ones who became their first friends, constant support system, and the reason their stay felt like home. 💙

From mentoring in labs to helping them navigate a new culture, these individuals ensured that every intern’s journey in India was not just smooth, but truly memorable.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Arpit Agarwal sir for his constant support, guidance, and belief in building meaningful global exchanges, and to Shri S. L. Agarwal sir for his encouragement and vision that continue to inspire us to grow stronger as a network.

A special note of thanks to our Faculty Advisor, Dr. Ekta Menghani ma’am, whose unwavering support and mentorship have been the backbone of every successful exchange we facilitate.

This ceremony wasn’t just about recognition, it was about celebrating a community that believes in connection, collaboration, and creating global experiences that truly matter.

Grateful to our former President Navin Jain and Vice President Priyansh Singh, whose leadership and dedication made every exchange smoother, stronger, and more meaningful.

With President Nehal Sharma and Vice President Palak Kumari at the helm, we look forward to carrying this legacy ahead with renewed vision, purpose, and greater global impact. ✨

Our IAESTE’S stall at Rhythm was a hit, packed with VR Experience for virtual global adventures, Guess the Country and Guess the Phrases games, Polaroid corner and many more with exciting goodies like laptop stickers, bookmarks and chocolates. 🌸

When vision meets action, a community begins to grow beyond boundaries. 🌍

Representing 𝐈𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄 𝐋𝐂 𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐂 at the 17th National Conference of IAESTE India hosted at Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Udupi was more than a conference for us it was a reminder of why the IAESTE movement exists in the first place.

Over two enriching days, delegates from Local Committees across India came together to exchange ideas, reflect on the year gone by, discuss future roadmaps, and strengthen the network that binds us together. From meaningful exchange sessions to vibrant cultural evenings, every moment reflected collaboration, learning, and the spirit of global friendship.

Under the constant guidance of 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐤𝐭𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐦𝐚’𝐚𝐦, the leadership of our 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐤 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢, we proudly represented our LC while learning from the journeys and visions of others in the IAESTE community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐀. 𝐊𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐫 for his inspiring leadership and for reminding us of the timeless philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the idea that the world is truly one family.
