PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar conducted felicitation ceremony of the Commerce Club. Dr. Kiran Arora (Principal) graced the occasion and presented trophies to students for their hardwork and year around service to the commerce department. The students who participated and brought laurels to the department in various inter college competitions were also felicitated. Total 75 students were awarded with trophies.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal urged the students to always remember their values they have ingrained at college which will help them etch a life, embellished with success. Exhorting the students to carry on with their pursuit of excellence, Head of Department Mrs. Alka Sharma congratulated the members of commerce club.
Overall the ceremony was an enjoyable experience for the students.

National Voters Day celebrated in PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar
The youth club of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar celebrated National Voters Day in which students and staff were administrated an oath by the Nodal Officer, Dr. Sukhbir Shergill to cast their vote in the elections in the earnest as supreme responsibility. The authorities of the District Administration demonstrated the eligible students the process of how to make their voter cards, which is also available on the website of the Election Commission. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Arora motivated the students to caste their vote in strengthening democracy.

Principal, PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar presents research paper at IC-IRISH’ 2018. It is a matter of immense pride that the Principal of our college has p resented a research paper entitled ‘Artificial Intelligence : A Serious Concern in Literature in the Two Day International Conference on the topic ‘ Interdisciplinary Research Innovations in Science and Humanities (IC-IRISH’18) at Bali, Indonesia, invited by the Department of Computers at Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. Through her paper, she threw considerable light on Artificial skill and Intelligence and the dangers they pose. Technology indeed is a boon to mankind, however burgeoning dependency on it might increasingly enchain us to the same. Interestingly, this danger was envisioned even before the 1950’s by scores of literary figures which were reflected in their works. Considering the present scenario, their prophecy seems to have been materialized.
