WE ARE AT WAR!!!
This situation is so critical that it has now come to a point where it is about our life or death. DC saab today had to come online and spent almost an hour to explain the gravity of the situation. He pointed out to the "Spanish Flu" of 1918. 2 crore Indians were wiped out from the face of the earth. We were 25 crore then, we are 131 crore today, imagine our fate if we are not able to defeat this enemy, imagine the scale of destruction. But, we are a lot more advanced medically and digitally connected in this day and age and we together can easily defeat this enemy, we just have to be obedient and sincere in our efforts.
There has never been an emergency of this magnitude, not in our city, not in our district, not in our state, not in our country and certainly not in the whole world at the same time. IT IS NO LESS THAN A NUCLEAR ATTACK!!!
So, you have to understand one thing, this is the first time ever we are facing such crises, it is the first time our district administration of Jalandhar is facing such crises, it is not an every day problem they are dealing with.
The administration is working day and night to solve our problems. They are trying their best to make available day to day groceries, vegetables, fruits, medicines, milk and milk products and what not. There are close to a thousand villages in our district, and a population close to 25 lakh. Expecting the administration to solve problem of every single person overnight is too much to ask. There will be a lot of hit and trial methods that will be used on daily feedback, lists will be changed, updated, different approaches will be followed to provide every possible essential item to every household of the district, but it will take time, may be a couple of days or a few more, but they will solve the problems.
Everyone of us must have faced difficult times in our personal lives when we had to take extraordinary measures to take us out of the difficult situations, for that, we needed support of our family members, similarly, consider this whole district as our family and the district administration as the head of our family, let us cooperate with them in these difficult times. We cannot ask for curfew relaxation, we cannot afford a relaxation in the curfew.
Right now, our complaints are limited to non availability of groceries, vegetables, medicines in our area, which will be dealt with sooner or later but imagine, if this situation goes out of control, the complaints will be regarding non availability of beds in Civil Hospital, XYZ Hospital is refusing to accept patients suffering with COVID-19, delays in ambulance services, health service helpline is choked and not working, someone's parents are not able to breathe, someone's grand mother is so critically ill and no ventilator is available in the city. Just imagine, this is a possibility and it will happen in a matter of just a few days, YES, JUST A FEW DAYS!!! So please, please, please, STAY AT HOME. AVOID GOING OUT AT ANY COST. God forbid, if such situation arises, there will be total chaos all over, there will be no help, you will be all by yourself, the system will collapse. What's the point of a realization when everything goes out of hand, then your complaints to the authorities about the scarcity of Onion, Potato in your area will be so insignificant. Do not let this situation happen.
We are so very lucky that this lockdown/curfew is imposed a lot earlier than many other countries and trust me, India is about to set an example in the whole world on how we prevented a pandemic of such magnitude in our country. Do not ruin this. It is no joke, the threat is real, very real!!!
There are people risking their lives to serve us, the district administration should screen them too regularly, their safety too is of utmost importance.
The district administration of all the districts are doing so much for the people and in return, they just want one thing, you all should stay at home. So please, stay at your home and RESPECT THE LOCKDOWN.
STAY HOME, STAY SAFE!!!
