LKCTC Organizes Guest Lecture on Vascular Surgery
The School of Allied and Healthcare Sciences at Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus
(LKCTC), Jalandhar, organized an insightful guest lecture on “Vascular Surgery and Limb
Salvage” on 19 August 2026 at the Mini Auditorium, LKCTC. The session was organized to provide
students with meaningful academic and clinical exposure to the field of vascular surgery and its
growing importance in modern healthcare.
The distinguished speaker for the session was Dr. Shabjot Dhillon, Senior Clinical Officer –
Vascular Surgery, Fortis Hospital, Mohali. With more than 15 years of clinical experience and
expertise in vascular surgery, emergency medicine, and related clinical care, Dr. Dhillon shared
valuable insights into the diagnosis and management of complex vascular conditions.
The lecture highlighted important aspects of vascular diseases, vascular surgery, limb salvage,
patient assessment, early intervention, and the prevention of avoidable amputations. Dr. Dhillon
emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis, appropriate clinical decision-making,
multidisciplinary teamwork, and evidence-based patient care in improving outcomes for patients
suffering from vascular disorders.
The session also focused on the significance of amputation prevention and limb preservation, with
Dr. Dhillon discussing the role of healthcare professionals in identifying vascular complications at an
early stage and providing appropriate intervention. The interaction helped students understand how
theoretical knowledge can be applied in real-world clinical settings.
Dr. Dhillon also shared her professional experiences and encouraged students to develop strong
