✨ Workshop on Hair Treatments & Styling ✨

The PG Department of Cosmetology organised a one-day Workshop on Hair Treatments and Styling, conducted by Mr. Tushar Bansal, International Hair Expert, along with his team.

The workshop provided students with an enriching hands-on learning experience, introducing them to the latest professional hair treatments, products, tools, and salon techniques. Live demonstrations were conducted on Nano Glow Treatment, Bond Plex Treatment, and Amino Acid Treatment, covering their procedures, benefits, product application, suitability for different hair types, and essential precautions.

The session became even more engaging as students were encouraged to come forward and perform the techniques alongside the expert, making the learning experience practical, interactive, and confidence-building.

Special emphasis was placed on the Do’s & Don’ts of hair treatments, consultation practices, hygiene, safety measures, correct product usage, and prevention of hair damage. An interactive Q&A session further enabled students to clarify their queries and gain valuable professional insights.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of providing students with industry exposure and hands-on learning opportunities that complement classroom education and prepare them for professional careers.

हंसराज महिला महाविद्यालय, जालंधर के स्नातकोत्तर हिंदी विभाग द्वारा हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर संगोष्ठी एवं विविध गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय,चंडीगढ़ से सेवानिवृत डॉ. पंकज माला ने हिंदी के महत्व और युवा पीढ़ी की भूमिका पर विचार साझा किए। उनके साथ विशेष अतिथि के रूप में डॉ रजनी शर्मा भी उपस्थित रही ।प्राचार्या प्रो. डॉ. एकता खोसला एवं विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. ज्योति गोगिया ने हिंदी को संस्कृति, संवेदना और अस्मिता की भाषा बताते हुए विद्यार्थियों को इसके प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए प्रेरित किया।

इस अवसर पर विभाग की ई-पत्रिका ‘साहित्यावलोकन’ का प्रक्षेपण, हिंदी हस्ताक्षर अभियान तथा छात्राओं द्वारा नुक्कड़ नाटक प्रस्तुत किया गया। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. पवन कुमारी, डॉ. दीप्ति धीर एवं विभाग के अन्य सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

✨ **A New Chapter of Leadership Begins at HMV!** ✨

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, proudly hosted the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council and Discipline Committee under the inspiring guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla.

The ceremony was a memorable occasion as around 300 young women stepped forward to embrace their new responsibilities as student leaders. Heartfelt congratulations to Pahul Jabal, appointed UG Head Girl; Kamalpreet, PG Head Girl; and Himanshi, Head of the Task Force.

Adding warmth to the celebration was the presence of our former Head Girls, Ms. Gurleen Kaur and Ms. Kriti, who joined us as Guests of Honour. Their presence beautifully highlighted the continuing legacy of student leadership at HMV—from one generation to the next.

In her address, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla encouraged the newly inducted leaders to lead with confidence, serve with sincerity and always set an example for others.

The programme began with a gracious welcome by Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean, Student Council and concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Kuljit, Incharge, Discipline.

👁️ Eye Health Camp at HMV 👁️
Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, the Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an eye check-up camp and awareness session on eye hygiene.
Dr. Rohan Bowry, Eye Specialist, guided students and staff on eye care, digital eye strain and regular vision screening. Participants also received eye screenings and expert advice.
