*Help Us Save Aritra!*

My name is Arin Kumar Dutta, and I am raising funds for my 26-year-old son Aritra Dutta, who is battling with Covid-19 for the last 45 days. Covid-19 has badly affected his Lungs with an HRCT score of 14/25(Moderate Severity). We are delighted to inform you that a very reputed IT Company,Cognizant, has confirmed to conduct the pooled campus recruitment drive for 2016 passing out engineering students on 1st & 2nd July,2016 .The details are given below:

4. Eligible Streams & Eligibility Criteria:
2016 batch of BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech degree students belonging to CSE / IT / ECE / EEE / EIE / E&E / Applied Electronics / Computer & Technology / Electrical / ETE / ICE / Software Engineering only
· Consistent academic record of a minimum of 60% (without rounding off) in X, XII, Diploma, UG and PG (if applicable) considering all subjects with no standing arrears (till the semester for which results have been declared by the university)
· At the time of joining, all recruits need to have a minimum of 60% aggregate (without rounding off, all subjects taken into consideration) in the pursuing degree with no standing arrears
· Strong written and oral communication skills

6.Student Information

7. Job Role & Description:
The students who get shortlisted will be offered the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee with a salary of 3.35 Lakh/Annum. They will be trained at Cognizant Academy for a period of 4 months post which they will join the project teams.

In November 2015, JGEC Alumni Association KOLKATA took an objective of setting up of a distressed fund for all JGEC Alumni and of achieving 100% placement by 2020.
Current Balance in the distressed fund is approximately 3 Lakhs.
An amount of INR 50 thousand has been donated from the fund to Soumik Biswas's cause ( 2010 batch). INR 25 thousand has been donated by the alumni association members when they donated the amount of their annual gifts at the reunion at Science City this year. And INR 4 Lakhs has been arranged by the association through their network.
Apart from this, the association has arranged for a sum of more than INR 50 thousand or a present student's mother's treatment.
Many alumnus have shown their support for this noble cause and contributed to it. We urge all of the alumnus to contribute, the amount can be of any denomination and is tax exempted under 80G.
